It was a big day!!!! Today marked the start of our front facade remodel — if you drove by, you may have noticed the construction underway! As we began tearing down the old facade, something truly special was uncovered: a beautiful brick wall with a hand-painted sign from the 1950s, once belonging to a local business owned by Mr. Eliseo.
What made this moment even more meaningful is that we were joined by his son, Ellis, who now owns his own thriving local business, his grandson, and his great-grandson, who came to stand where their dad and grandfather’s business originated all those years ago. It was SUCH an honor to witness their family reconnect with a piece of their legacy right here in our building!
We are beyond excited about our remodel, but just as important, we want to honor the history of this building and our town. Our plan is to tinker and preserve this original brick wall so it can remain a reminder of the generations of hard work, community, and history that have shaped where we are today.
Here’s to building something new while never forgetting where we came from. Stay tuned….
