Happy New Year everyone, so the news is out and a new chapter has begun at the Paw and personally. I have been fortunate to have spent the last 14 years as the owner of Murphy's Paw and making friends with many of you and I am grateful for the support of the community and the City of Pleasanton. I have also had the pleasure of having a chance to touch the lives of my employees, teaching and learning from them. Please welcome Caro in the next chapter of her journey as the new owner of the Paw. She has been at my side since high school and has been the face of the Paw over the last few years. She will continue moving the Paw into the future and I hope she will have the support of the community that I have enjoyed over the past 14 years. I know she will continue to earn it.

Hi everyone! My name is Caro and I have worked at Murphy’s Paw for almost 9 years. What started as a job has evolved into my passion, and it has shaped me into the person I am today. Today, I am overjoyed to begin 2025 by announcing that I have taken over as owner of Murphy’s Paw! I am very excited to begin this chapter, and beyond grateful for each step of the journey that led me here.

Dean, the previous owner and the best boss I could’ve asked for, has done nothing but encourage my growth, support my ideas, and believe in me. Thank you Dean. Thank you for giving me the opportunites over the last 9 years that led me to this point.

Murphy’s Paw has always been more than just a business— it’s been a place where connections are made and where the community comes together. None of this would be possible without our customers! I am so thankful for each and every one of you. So many of you have become more than just customers, but rather a cherished part of my everyday life.

Murphy’s Paw will continue being the store you know and love! I have been running it for a good while now, so rest assured nothing crazy will change. I’m excited to keep building on it though, and to get more involved in our community.

Join us on Saturday, January 25th at 4pm to celebrate 🥳 We will have snacks, refreshments, and specials all day!
