BREAKING NEWS!!

Town and Country Veterinary Hospital has officially been sucked into a cartoon wormhole.

One minute we were doing exams and cuddling our patients… the next minute BOOM—everything got extra animated. Legs are stretchier. Eyes are bigger. Cats are sassier. Dogs are somehow EVEN MORE dramatic.

Do we know how to get out?
Well....No.
Are we trying very hard?
Ummm...Also no.
Are we having the BEST time of our lives?

OMG, stop everything and look at the cutest little patient of the day!!

This sweet little munchkin cat came in today to be spayed and absolutely stole our hearts. Short legs and big eyes, she was the bestest, sweetest patient ever. No drama, no spice… just pure angel energy.

Huge shout-out to her amazing care team! Jessica, her veterinary technician (pictured), and Dr. Mason took such wonderful care of her every step of the way! She was also spoiled by the rest of the staff the whole day because just look at her (use best cat baby voice here…) cutelittleshortbodyandbestlittlefacekittywitty!! 😂🤍

She may be low to the ground, but this girl set the bar HIGH for perfect patients today!!

Did you know, Stephanie, our Pet Hotel Manager—is fluent in Bulldog??

Rubble checked in speaking his native language, and Stephanie understood him immediately. Because when you truly know your boarders, you don’t just care for them… you learn their love language.

Stephanie has a gift for getting to know every guest—what makes them feel safe, what makes them feel loved, and what makes their tails (or jowls) happy. From shy pups to bold bulldogs, she meets them right where they are.

Parking Lot PSA from Town & Country Vet Hospital

Please drive with extra caution in our parking lot—especially if you’re in a larger-than-life vehicle. Why? Because our very own Danielle, the shortest vet tech we have, may be operating at stealth level.

She’s small, she’s mighty, and she can absolutely save your pet’s life… but she might be below your hood line. 😅

So before you hit the gas, double-check that Danielle is clear of your path. We promise she’s doing important vet-tech things down there.

PATIENT STOPLIGHT AND Public Service Announcement: English Bulldogs Are Not Lazy!

There’s a long-standing rumor out there that English Bulldogs are just snoring loafs with legs. We’re here to clear Bloomie’s good name…errr…breed!

Yes—Bulldogs are stubborn. Very stubborn. Olympic-level stubborn.
But lazy? Absolutely not.

Our patient Bloomie would like everyone to know that with the right motivation (treats, praise, and maybe a dramatic pause), English Bulldogs are 100% trainable and able to do agility training. They may take their time, question your authority, negotiate the terms, and then eventually do exactly what you asked… perfectly.

Bloomie proves that Bulldogs don’t ignore commands—they just like to think about them first.
And maybe nap.

Moral of the story: don’t underestimate the bulldog. Especially one named Bloomie. 🤍🤍🤍

Cat-urday at the Pleasanton Pet Hotel

After days of rain, the sunshine finally showed up—and our feline guests were ready for it. Window watching, sun-soaked naps, dramatic stretches, and just a little judgment from the windowsills. 😼

Today we said “see you later” (because let’s be honest, once you’re Town & Country family you’re never really gone) to Grace on her last day as a vet tech.

Grace started here as a R.O.P. student in high school— back when she was smaller, sassier, and already convinced she knew everything…🤭. Over the years, we’ve watched that sassy younger self grow into a confident, compassionate, hard-working adult who shows up for her team, her patients and our clients.

We are endlessly grateful for the care, humor, and heart you brought into this hospital. You leave behind big shoes to fill and a whole lot of love.

Go do your thing Big Red. You are destined for great things!
