I do not take walk-ins. My name is Christina Leffers. I am very passionate when it comes to the pets we love. I have been working with animals since 1999. I graduated NECC with an Associate of Applied Science majoring in Veterinary Technology in 2003. I was a licensed veterinary technician. I worked

as a Technician 2003-2011. I worked in a grooming shop while I lived in North Platte. I have found that this is my calling in life. I currently live in Columbus. I have been married since 2004. We have 3 children and 2 dogs. We enjoy doing any activity that gives us time together as a family.

A beautiful sunrise on the first Sunday of 2026 🌅

I’m looking forward to continuing to use my talents to care for and groom all of your dogs this year! While my hopes of bringing on a second groomer didn’t work out, it was for a wonderful reason—she was offered a job she truly loved and couldn’t pass up. I’m excited to watch her grow in that role. For now, I’m back to working solo, except when Emylie is home on breaks and not working her other jobs.

Over the past couple of weeks, my husband has been hard at work installing the base of the kennel walls for the boarding space. We’re now deciding on the best material to use for the walls. We’ve chosen not to do full cement walls, as that approach would add another year to the project. While doing the work ourselves is more cost-effective, it isn’t always the most time-efficient.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of my business and my family. One of my favorite parts of being your dog groomer is watching your families grow over the years and hearing your stories. Being asked about my own family and sharing in those updates means more than you know. Building these friendships has truly been the most rewarding part of all.

I am blessed by the amount of you referring people to me. Please make sure you are not giving out my personal number. In the last couple months many people have been calling my personal number inquiring about grooming. I do not always answer my personal phone when I do not recognize the number. In the end this means they may not reach me.

Also give people my business name when referring me. Many people message my personal page. If I am not friends with them it goes to the spam folder. I NEVER check that folder so I miss their messages.

I looked up this morning while waiting for my computer to load and noticed a small Jesus.

I am not sure who left it but I do know it was sometime this week as I cleaned my desk last week.

Life has been heavy for us this year but especially the last few months. It is possible this person knew we needed assurance that all things will work out in the end. Some of my clients do understand the heaviness of this year because they too are having a heavy time.

Please know if you have ever walked through the door of our business you are a blessing in our lives. You are never alone. Our door is always open. I want to say thank you to the clients and friends that have always checked on us. The relationships that have been built because I wanted to be a dog groomer have truly been my favorite part of owning a business.

Our names are Clover 👈🏻 and Chloe 👉🏻

We are Westies and even though we give Christina a little bit of attitude during our grooming, she says we are some of her favorite dogs. She loves that our humans let her keep us in a standard trim for our breed. We do not love the brushing part of the grooming. We do love how beautiful we are when we leave her salon!
