Bad to the Bone is licensed and insured through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and Small Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

It’s Small Business Saturday! Bad to the Bone Pet Care was founded 10 years ago by Doug Keeling. Doug was a student at University of North Florida when he started offering pet sitting to classmates and coworkers. He never dreamed of starting a business, but says that Bad to the Bone quickly became the “dream he didn’t know he had!” We are now a team of 30+ pet sitters and dog walkers servicing Jacksonville, Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, Plant City, Eastern Tampa, and surrounding areas!

Our mission is to uplift and inspire our local community through our work with pets and their families. Over the years, we have volunteered hundreds of hours to the The Jacksonville Humane Society and other shelters, we have donated hundreds of pounds of dog food to rescues, and thousands of poo bags to underfunded city parks.
