HAPPY NATIONAL CAT DAY! 🐈

Yes, we know. We're called HOUND Therapy.

But apparently, cats don't care about branding. Or rules. Or our feelings. 😂

They're tiny, furry dictators who knock things off counters, judge us for existing, and expect five-star service while contributing absolutely nothing to the household bills.

And honestly? We respect the hustle.

We love our feline clients, even when they make it VERY clear the feeling isn't mutual.

Happy National Cat Day to all the spoiled little house panthers out there!

👇 Comment a picture of your tiny household CEO in the comments. Bonus points if they look disappointed in you.

BEFORE YOUR PUPPY’S FIRST GROOM, PRACTICE THESE 5 THINGS!

Just 30 seconds a day can help grooming feel more familiar:

🐾 Gently hold paws and touch toes.
👂 Softly lift and touch ears.
🐶 Gently support their chin.
🪮 Introduce a soft brush.
🦵 Gently handle each leg.

The goal? Make it BORING. Because grooming day shouldn’t be their first “WHO AUTHORIZED YOU TO TOUCH MY TOES?!” moment.

Keep it short, offer treats, and stop if they’re uncomfortable.

There’s a very specific point during a groom when we know. The face starts taking shape. The paws are looking crisp.

The fluff starts fluffing. And somebody in the salon says: “Ohhhhhh. Look at HIM.”

That’s when we know the final reveal is about to be worth it.

Now the important questions: How many biscuits out of 10 for this glow-up?

Your groomer notices things before you’ve even finished saying: “So… we’ve been brushing him.” We see the little tangle behind the ear. The suspiciously untouched armpit fluff. The nails that say,

“It’s been a minute.”And the section of coat that absolutely did NOT see the brush you bought on Amazon. No judgment. 😂

That’s part of what we do at Hound Therapy, we figure out what your pet’s coat needs and help you keep it manageable between visits.

You told them you were “going for a ride.” Technically, you didn’t lie.

According to your dog, a trip to Hound Therapy goes something like:

Leaving the house: BEST DAY EVER

🫧Bath: I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED

💨Dryer: I would like to speak to management

✂️Haircut: Fine. Whatever.

Final reveal: …wait. I look GOOD. Then they walk back out into the world like they weren’t just screaming at a blow dryer 45 minutes ago.

Which stage is your dog’s villain origin story?

It’s National Walk Your Dog!

Naturally, Dallas decided to celebrate with rain. 🙈

If you’re trying to squeeze in a walk between showers, grab the leash, bring a towel, and just accept that your dog will probably find the biggest puddle on the block.

Rainy walks, quick neighborhood laps, or a little indoor play all count. The goal is simply to get them moving and have some fun together.

And if they come home smelling a little more like “wet dog” than usual… you know where to find us!

Happy National Walk Your Dog, Dallas!

October is just a couple of days away… is your pup fall-ready?

Summer fun can leave behind loose fur, dirt, debris, and a coat that’s ready for a refresh. A fall grooming appointment helps clean things up and get your pup more comfortable as the weather cools down.

Bonus: regular grooming gives us a chance to notice things like skin irritation, lumps, bumps, or other changes you might not spot right away.

So before your pup rolls into October looking a little… ruff 😂
Get them fresh, clean, and fall-ready!

📅October appointments are now open! Plan ahead and grab your pup’s spot before the calendar starts filling up.
