Oh no! It looks like Blacky the Shih Tzu/Maltese mix had to hit pause on playtime due to a case of the tummy troubles. After his family brought him to UrgentVet this cutie now seems to be on the road to tail wags and treat cravings once again! 🐶💊

🐈 This is Rizzo — a brave and handsome cat who visited us here at UrgentVet after an injury left him with a hurt leg. 🩻📋His x-rays confirmed a fractured bone, and while that’s never easy news, Rizzo was able to return home the same day with pain medication to stay as comfortable as possible until follow-up care. 💊🐾

We’re wishing Rizzo a speedy recovery and sending lots of healing thoughts to this strong feline! Thank you for trusting us with his care! 🧡💛

This is Bugsy! She came to see us at UrgentVet for tummy troubles, so after testing, we got her treatments with the goal of getting her feeling better. The next day when we checked up on her, we were happy to hear this sweet pup was starting to feel a little better and had an appetite again!

Itching to see some cuteness? We got you covered!

This is Dash, a dashing long-haired Dachshund who visited UrgentVet for some itchy skin troubles. After a thorough exam with our veterinarian, we started him on an anti-inflammatory to help soothe the irritation. 🐶💊
We checked in the next day, and we’re happy to report Dash seems to be doing & being his fabulous, fluffy self! ✨🐾

🐾 Patient Award: Wemby - Cutest Corgi! 🐾

Wemby, this sweet Corgi puppy with a heart shaped spot on his nose, stopped by UrgentVet after his family noticed a little cough. After a thorough check-up with our veterinarian, we started him on an antibiotic to try and help him feel better. 💊💙 We gave a follow-up call the next day, and his family shared that Wemby is already doing better! Go, Wemby! 🐶👏

Yesterday, our team at UrgentVet Mckinney had the solemn honor of providing care for K9 Officer Azi, a devoted partner who gave his life in the line of duty. Azi was a hero, a protector, and a beloved member of the McKinney Police Department.

Our hearts go out to Azi’s handler, fellow officers, and all who knew and loved him. His dedication and bravery will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, K9 Officer Azi. You were deeply loved, and your service will always be remembered. It was a privilege to care for you.

🚨 OFFICIAL STATEMENT: OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING 🚨

The McKinney Police Department has released an official statement regarding the officer-involved shooting that occurred on March 13, 2025, at the Red Roof Inn on 1300 North Central Expressway.

The investigation remains active and has been turned over to the Texas Rangers. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
