Our hometown shelter in Kefalonia has over 200 dogs and about 100 cats give or take, and they need help in the form of food or donations and obviously we need more coverage of these beautiful babies to be adopted and fostered! Please share, donate any little bit and you can also foster a pet for as little as 10 bucks a month! My son and I chose to name and sponsor two babies! One is Dafni (a puppy from a litter of 9) and Boots (a senior kitty).

Just wanted to update you all on the kittens because I'm getting a lot of inquiries about them. I already have potential adopters- just need to vet them and make the right decision. As for fostering, none is needed, but I appreciate so many offers!
I am their foster being that I have kitten- friendly accommodations (cat trees, toys, litter, food), the medication for them (they all have to share a bottle for the next week). They were dewormed by Brookville Animal Hospital and are being treated for a G.I. issue. They will be adopted out through my rescue, Miney's Rescue of Love. By keeping them with me I can get to know them better, see how they do with a dog/older cats, etc and acclimate them and ensure they have a clean bill of health. Thank you to my neighbors Lisa Gulotta-Gherardi for finding them and to Nicole (who isn't on here) for bringing them to my attention. They are safe and happy and I will make sure they stay that way!

And then there were 3….. meet Achilles 😉 Found in a bush by my neighbors and also eager to get picked up. Whoever dumped them should be ashamed, but at least they are together. We will be on the lookout for more babies.

Aphrodite (little white patch on her chin) and Antigone (with the white on her nose), were found in Plainview on the side of my neighbor's fence. They were clearly dumped there because of they seem fairly clean and tame. I will be getting them to the vet in the morning to get a full work up for them. Not up for adoption until they are cleared and healthy. I will be fostering them under my rescue Miney's Rescue of Love in the meantime!
