Did you know cats’ purrs have healing capabilities??

ā€œElizabeth von Muggenthaler, a specialist in the field of bioacoustics at the Fauna Communications Research Institute in North Carolina measured and quantified the cat’s purr. The average domestic cat purrs at a frequency of 25 to 150 Hertz (Hz). Humans have a range of about 20 to 20,000 Hz, so most of us can hear the purr. We can also feel the vibrations. But the cat’s purr is multi-frequency. More recent research has shown that frequencies between 20 and 50 Hz increase bone density. Experiments have demonstrated that the same frequency range relaxes stubbornly tense muscles.

Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) devices with frequencies within the range of the cat’s purr have been shown to non-invasively treat a variety of biological maladies. Growing clinical evidence supports the use of these low frequencies in animals and humans for specific conditions such as bone healing, osteoarthritis, inflammation, wound healing and post-operative pain….ā€

The frequency of a cat's purr is found to have certain healing and restorative powers. Believe it or not, it helps promote a healthier life.

I have had a LOT of people inquiring about my next Maine C**n pairing. The plan is…
Elphaba of RevereMaine (black smoke) x Bjƶrn Ironside of RevereMaine (Red Shaded Silver)

Bjƶrn is a direct import from Russia, and Elphie is from my carefully developed line directly from my Cattery. It has taken several generations to get her!

We have very few litters per year, as we are meticulous about the pairings. Our plan is to acquire the look of the euro style maine c**n but with the hardiness of the American foundation line, while going through extensive selection criteria for temperament. We try to eradicate the most common hereditary diseases while following appropriate tests and protocols, and do ZERO line breeding.

If all goes well, kittens will arrive this fall!

I do have a Cattery page that has past Cattery graduates and kings/queens - feel free to check it out. RevereMaine Cattery is the name of the page.
