It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arthur W. Nesbitt. Art was a pillar of business, an avid supporter of the dairy industry and a significant part of the history of National Dairy Shrine.

Art contributed several decades of his life to the National Dairy Shrine. He served in many roles, including secretary/treasurer and Executive Director. He was the key driver of developing an endowment fund for the organization, a fund that now serves as the lifeblood of the organization. He was named Guest of Honor in 1993. The 4-E Award, created in his honor along with lifelong friend Eugene Meyer, is given to those individuals who give tirelessly to the organization.

His financial support of the National Dairy Shrine Museum will ensure continued growth and development to enhance the experience for all who visit.

His passion for youth shone through, from sponsoring scholarship programs to providing awards to winners of the Collegiate Dairy Products Evaluation Contest or the Post Secondary Judging Contest, to just being at the museum to greet judging contest participants.

Art greeted everyone with a smile and a handshake, and was quick to find out that special tidbit that created a unique connection. His dedication, commitment and leadership will be sorely missed.
