Friends! This is W***y. We have a full circle moment going on here. He came to us as a stray a bit ago and we’ve had no luck finding his owners. Planned on the usual vet work up and off to a new home - but he’s got some heart issues that will need a bit more extensive care than we can give him right now.

I reached out to some rescues and with the help of some old friends and connections - the amazing rescue that I got Maxwell from during my Penn State days has agreed to take him in and give him the care he needs and get him adopted to the perfect family.

Centre County PAWS has always held a very special place in my life - and now it’s even more special.

We know shelters are busting at the seams right now and the rescue community is strapped right now - so this means the absolute world that they are willing to help.

To show our appreciate - we want to bring them some items on their wish list!! No better people to help the place that saved Maxwell than the Maxwell Fam.

We will be collecting donations to bring with us when we take W***y next Tuesday! Check the pinned comments on this post for the list!

We will be accepting donations in the lobby until Monday 7/14! Thank you for anything you can help with!!

Hi friends!

Cali has been with us for a bit now and needs a forever home to live out her life. She was brought to us because someone was simply just sick of her and going to put her down. 😔

She’s an older girl but still full of life. A bit anxious but we’re working on it. Loves a good bed and blanket to curl up on. Seems to be fine around other dogs and doesn’t mind the cat (but no one really minds Stew).

If anyone is interested please message us. Even if just interested in fostering her.

… ps a couple months ago I made Dave drive an hour and half away to meet a stranger at a rando Turkey Hill getting rid of 4 puppies so we could rehome them so they didn’t wind up with bad people. Bru is one of those puppies and when I texted his mom and said “will you take this flea ridden dirty puppy ? he needs the best life” - they did no questions asked. So these humans are our kinds of people Maxwell Fam.

Hey guys! We need your help! This pup was found today on Suscon road and brought to us. He is a male and isn’t neutered. Such a sweet boy! Had him checked for a chip but no luck. Get him back to his owners!

Nothing brightened my day more than to see this guy roll up with his sidekick Buddy the shih tzu hanging out the driver window. When he would come in to say “why the hell didn’t ya answer your phone” - little did he know it’s because I enjoyed seeing him show up to crack a witty one liner than just have to settle for a phone call. And he’d always leave with “okay I love ya hunny.”

Just like the rest of this generation - Mr. Latona was an absolute gem.

Pittston will certainly miss this legend - and so will we. Sending all the love to his family - and his sidekick Buddy. ❤️
