Today someone called and said they were “literally disgusted” that our website wasn’t up to date with which cats are available.

I invite that person, and anyone else who isn’t happy with the speed in which we handle cat updates, to spend ONE day in our shoes here and then come back to me on that.

We are an EXTREMELY small staff. It’s me (Olivia, the owner), and two part time employees. Dats it.

Updating our website with current cats may seem simple to an outsider, but it can literally take hours and hours of work. We have to identity and name tag all of the cats. We have to get reasonably good pictures of them that aren’t blurry. We have to GET TO KNOW THEM A LITTLE BIT before we write their bios. Then we have to create the bios and upload them to our website. These cats got here Tuesday. I had their bios done and ready Thursday afternoon. They will be on the website today (Friday).

Oh, also while trying to do all that, we are ringing up visitors, answering all of their questions, answering phone calls and emails, cleaning 10 litter boxes, feeding 20 cats, and making sure they’re all healthy and happy. Sometimes if we’re lucky, we even get to eat lunch!

So again. If you’d like things sped up around here, maybe try volunteering or something!

Meet Lynx and Panther!
Lynx is a fluffy female and Panther is a sleek male. They’re 3 month old siblings!
These two looove to play tag and wrassle all day! Their favorite game is “hide in a tent and jump out and surprise my sibling” 😂
Lynx is slightly more people-friendly of the two, and will let you pet her fluffy fur. Panther is still a little jumpy, but it’s only his second full day here, so we’re pretty sure he’ll get comfier with humans!
We would really love to see these two adopted together. 🖤🖤
Lynx and Panther are spayed and neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, FELV-/FIV-, and UTD on monthly flea preventative.

Sometimes cats meet here and it’s just love at first sight. 😍 That seems to be the case with Glow Worm and Cloudy! Glow Worm is a 4 year old female cat, and Cloudy is a tiny 3 month old male kitten. Cloudy was a little scared his first day here, and Glow Worm stepped in immediately to protect him! They’ve been inseparable ever since. Glow Worm even lets Cloudy try to nurse on her, and she takes the opportunity to clean his dirty kitten ears. ❤️

I think it’s pretty safe to say we have a bonded pair on our hands.

Aaaaaand here come the kittens!

Kittens tend to cause a bit of a frenzy around here, so we’ve prepared a handy guide to adopting them!

Step 1: MEET THE KITTENS! You may looove a kitten’s picture you saw on here, but that kitten may actually hate kids or not be as cuddly as you thought. Meeting the cats ensures you are picking based on personality!

Step 2: Apply for a kitten! Our partner rescue .catrescue.pa will send you an application where they ask about your home, current pets, and previous pet ownership. It’s a good idea to have your lease (if renting) and current vet info (if applicable) ready ahead of time to make this process smoother!

Step 3: PLEASE be patient! Frankie’s Friends has a small but mighty staff, meaning there is ONE person who processes applications. It can take up to a week for this to happen! Repeated calls and emails will just slow everyone’s applications down and cause confusion. Patience please! 💕

General Adoption Info: The adoption fee for kittens (under a year) is $135. The adoption fee for adult cats (a year and up) is $100. This fee helps cover the cost of a LOT of important veterinary work.
Every cat is spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for FELV, feline distemper, and rabies, dewormed, and up to date on monthly flea preventative!

An extra note: KITTENS ARE VERY POPULAR! Some kittens get DOZENS of applications, which mean dozens of people have to be told “no”! This is nothing personal, and not a reason for you to harass our staff members. Please be kind, and remember there are plenty of adoptable kittens and cats to go around!

‼️‼️ HELP FRIENDS & FOLLOWERS! ‼️‼️

One of our SUPER sweet foster kitties just went to a new foster home yesterday and pushed open a window/clawed through the screen overnight. The foster lives right on a busy road and we are sick with worry.

Adoption 1283 is Spore! We didn’t even get to introduce him, he got snatched up so quickly. 🐈‍⬛ All of his adoption pics were so cute, we couldn’t pick just one!

Easter Weekend hours announcement!:

On Saturday, April 19th we will be open 10am to 4pm. We will not have evening hours available due to a private event.

On Sunday, April 20th we will be open 10am to 2pm so we can all enjoy some time with our fam!

Easter is right around the corner! Easter lillies are extremely toxic to cats…even the smallest amount of their pollen can be deadly! Please also use caution with plastic Easter grass. Cats often like to chew on it and if swallowed it can get tangled and cause an obstruction. It’s best to use a piece of fabric as a basket liner or even paper grass.

Meet our new friend Jerry!

Jerry is a 1.5 year old male cat.
Despite just arriving yesterday, Jerry has made himself right at home! He like to lounge in the windowsills, but ESPECIALLY loves to curl up in a lap! This guy is super cuddly and friendly. Jerry doesn’t mind other cats at all, but could also be a single cat easily.

Jerry is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, FELV- and FIV-, and UTD on monthly flea meds!

Despite the name, “Kitten Season” is NOT very cute or fun. It’s extremely stressful and expensive for rescues to care for these fragile creatures.
