Pride is a celebration of people coming together in love and friendship, to show how far LGBTQIA+ rights have come and to mark what work still needs to be done. Observed in many places in June, Pride Month celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and memorializes the Stonewall Riots that took place in New York in 1968, which are notable for having changed gay rights for many people in the U.S. and around the world.

While Pride celebrations occur year-round, Mars and VCA recognize June as a significant month for the Pride and the LGBTQIA+ community
