Why treat equine sarcoid with bloodroot?
What makes Equi-Sarc different from other bloodroot products?
Bloodroot extract, derived from the plant Sanguinaria canadensis, exhibits both cytotoxic and immune-modulating effects. The primary alkaloid, sanguinarine, targets cancer cells when applied topically.
Other products on the market, usually pair bloodroot powder and zinc chloride. The zinc chloride is caustic (causes irritation) which is make the sarcoid angry with the hope that it signals the immune system to kill the tumor. But what happens if the immune system doesn't take over? The sarcoid grows rapidly, which is scary. It also can eat away at tissue and may even produce holes in the ears from cartilage destruction.
Equi-Sarc includes the key ingredient, bloodroot, but without caustic zinc chloride. It also includes other powerful NATURAL ingredients to kill the tumor and boost the immune system without causing such severe inflammation.

- Propolis affects multiple cancer-related signaling pathways (NF-κB pathway, MAPK pathway, mTOR pathway)
