Walking up to an aggressive dog is a lot like stepping into round one of a heavyweight fight. šŸ„ŠšŸ•

Most dogs don’t come out throwing a full knockout shot immediately.
They test first.

A hard stare.
A lip curl.
A quick lunge.
A snap in the air.

Those are the ā€œjab punches.ā€ They’re gathering information.

ā€œHow’s this human gonna react?ā€
ā€œAre they nervous?ā€
ā€œBacking away?ā€
ā€œComing in too hard?ā€
ā€œDo I need to escalate?ā€

Meanwhile I’m reading every movement like subtitles on a foreign film. Tail tension. Weight shifts. Eye contact. Breathing. Which direction they retreat. Which direction they load pressure from.

Because every reaction tells a story.

A dog that bites from fear moves different than a dog that bites with confidence. One leaks hesitation. One commits forward. One throws warning shots. One skips the warning label entirely. āš ļøšŸ¾

So when people watch a video and think:
ā€œBro just walked up to an aggressive dogā€¦ā€

Nah.

There’s a whole chess match happening in silence before the first touch ever happens.

Three years ago, Reptar was one of the first aggression cases I ever worked with.
At the time, I was training under a board and train company that taught me the foundation of dog training, structure, and how to truly read behavior. I’ll always respect where I started because that experience helped shape the trainer I am today. 🐾

But working with dogs like Reptar also helped me realize something important…

I believe the BEST bond comes from the OWNER being part of the process every single step of the way.

A dog can listen to the trainer all day long… but if the owner is still nervous, unsure, or afraid of the aggression, the cycle usually comes right back home. Dogs read energy like a lie detector with fur. šŸ•āš”

That’s one of the biggest reasons I decided to go out on my own and build my programs around private in home and public lessons instead of traditional board and trains.

I wanted owners learning:
• how to handle the leash
• how to read body language
• how to correct fairly
• how to build confidence
• how to advocate for their dog in real life situations

Not just handing the dog off and hoping the results stick.

Reptar’s owners struggled because they still feared his aggression after the program ended. So this time, I worked WITH the owners in the environments that actually mattered most… the home and the real world.
Stay tuned for part 2 taking the leash and working with him

So I got a call from a customer I first worked with about 2 1/2 years ago. We only did 3 lessons together back then and honestly I never heard back after that, so I figured things were going good and they didn’t need more help.

Then a couple weeks ago I get a call saying they were stressed about an upcoming vet appointment and could really use my help making the visit go smoothly since we made such great progress the last time I worked with Duke, the German Shepherd. 🐾

So today I met them at the vet and here’s how it went šŸ‘€

When I approached, Duke immediately showed aggression. Lunging, barking, throwing pressure my way… but I noticed something important almost immediately.

Every time I would approach him, he would back up.
And every time I backed up, he would lunge toward me again.

That told me he didn’t actually want to bite me. If a dog truly wants conflict, they close distance with intent. Duke was creating space, not hunting me down. He was basically saying:
ā€œYou stay over there and we’re good.ā€

That’s fear, pressure, insecurity, and defensive behavior… not a dog looking to cause damage.

That’s what so many people misunderstand about aggression. A lot of dogs aren’t ā€œbad dogs.ā€ They’re overwhelmed, stressed, insecure, or feel like they have to handle the situation themselves because nobody else is taking control.

So I looked at the owner and said:
ā€œHand me the leash.ā€

The second I took over, the energy started changing. No yelling. No panic. No fighting with the dog. Just calm structure, timing, communication, and leadership. Within minutes Duke went from trying to control the entire environment to being able to settle and work through the situation calmly. šŸ•āš”

And the craziest part?
This was after only 3 lessons… 2 1/2 years ago.

That’s why I always say dog training is way deeper than teaching commands. Anybody can teach ā€œsit.ā€ Real training is understanding psychology, body language, thresholds, confidence, trust, and communication.

he did really well despite the look on his face with the vet holding him he didn’t show any signs of aggression to them just extremely nervous but didn’t act on anything! Allowed them to check his hips and administer shots!

Watch the video below for the end results šŸ‘€šŸ”„

Most dogs aren’t ā€œbadā€ā€¦ they’re just out here freelancing with zero leadership.

Jumping on guests like they’re long-lost war heroes. Dragging their owners down the street like a sled team. Selective hearing that magically turns off unless food is involved.

That’s not personality… that’s confusion.

What I do isn’t about turning your dog into a robot. I don’t believe in that.
I build dogs that can exist in the real world without chaos trailing behind them like a tornado.

Calm in the house.
Focused outside.
Reliable when it actually matters.

No gimmicks. No shortcuts. No ā€œjust give them treats and hope for the bestā€ energy.

Just structure, clarity, and a dog that finally understands how to win.

Because when the rules make sense… the behavior follows.

If your dog’s been running the show, just know—
there’s a better version of them sitting right under the surface.

I just bring it out.

Finishing up my last few dogs from the 6-week squad… which means I’ve got fresh slots opening and I’m bringing chaos in the best way possible šŸ”„šŸ•

FIRST 10 DOGS — $1000 (usually $2000)
Yeah… I said it. Don’t overthink it.

BUT…
If your dog is trying to square up with the mailman, the neighbor, and God himself… this ain’t that program šŸ˜‚
Non-aggression cases only.
(Will accept aggression just not for $1000)
āø»

Here’s what your dog is about to learn:

🐾 Leash manners
No more getting dragged like you’re in a damn sled race.

🐾 Obedience that actually sticks
Sit. Down. Place. Come. Not ā€œwhen they feel like it.ā€

🐾 Impulse control
Because your dog doesn’t need to lose their mind every time a leaf moves.

🐾 Real-world training
Not just in your living room… we’re talking distractions, people, life.

🐾 Owner education
Yeah, you’re getting trained too. Don’t worry, I’m nicer to humans (sometimes).

āø»

What this is NOT:
āŒ Not a daycare
āŒ Not me babysitting your chaos goblin
āŒ Not magic… but it’ll damn sure feel like it

āø»

I keep it simple:
You show up.
You put in the work.
Your dog stops acting like a crackhead in public.

āø»

10 spots. That’s it.
Once they’re gone, they’re gone and you’re back to paying full price like everyone else šŸ˜Ž

šŸ“© Message me before your dog books their own bad decisions for another month.

Ever feel like your dog runs the house… and you’re just paying rent?

Pulling on the leash like they’re late for a flight.
Ignoring commands like you’re background noise.
Turning ā€œsitā€ into a negotiation.

Yeah… we don’t do that here.

At Breaking Bad Confident K9 Training, we turn chaos into control and stubborn into solid. No gimmicks. No treats dangling like bribes. Just real structure, real communication, and real results.

Imagine this:
• Calm walks without your arm getting ripped off
• Guests come over… and your dog doesn’t lose their mind
• One command = one response. Every time.

That’s the standard.

Right now I’m looking for a few dogs who need a serious reset. If that’s you, let’s get to work.

Your dog doesn’t need more chances… they need clarity.

Let’s build it. šŸ’Ŗ

Life can change in a heartbeat… and sometimes in the worst way possible.

A close friend of mine just lost his sister unexpectedly while on a cruise. She left behind 3 boys, along with her brothers, her mom, and her grandmother who are now trying to navigate something no family is ever prepared for.

There’s no fixing something like this… but there is showing up.

I’m setting a goal to raise $3,000 as quickly as possible to help fully cover funeral and burial expenses and take that weight off this family during a time of heartbreak.

For the next 2 dog training programs I book, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to their family. Every dollar.

If you’ve been on the fence about training your dog, this is a chance to not only change your dog’s life… but to help a family during one of the hardest moments they’ll ever face.

What I offer:
• Obedience (on & off leash)
• Behavior modification
• Puppy foundations
• Public manners & real-world training

If you can’t book but still want to help reach that $3,000 goal, even sharing this post makes a difference.

Let’s come together and show up for this family when they need it most.

Message me to lock in one of the two spots.
