Lazy Sunday?

We hope so!

First, we are still in desperate need of foster homes. Our last post got us 0 applications total.

Second, Alley (pictured) is looking for her furever home.

Alley is a 2 year old gal who is looking for a lap to sit on during the day and a chest to sleep on at night. She is a total snuggle bug. If she can’t sit or lay on you, she will happily sit next to you and keep you company with whatever you are doing.

She cohabitates fine with other cats, but she would also do well as a single cat. She hasn’t yet learned to really play (by herself or with others) but this could change as she continues to come into her own.

She is a long-haired cat and is prone to tangles so she needs a human who can (and will) commit to brushing her regularly.

She has a clean bill of health, is spayed, microchipped, and utd on her vaccinations.

Can you help us find Alley a home?

(This would also open up a foster home!)

In all of our years, we have never had such a low response when calling out for fosters or donations. 😞

It is certainly a sign of the times, but we are still going to beg for help - because we have no other option.

If you’re interested in helping a kitty in need, and you have a spare room, basement, office space, bathroom or garage - PLEASE apply to foster!

We don’t bite (usually), and we just want to able to help a few more kitties.

Right now, we have two extremely friendly adults who need a place to land together.

We have one male adult who is so sweet that we named him “Loverboy” - he also needs a place to go.

Then we have one adult female who has some recovering to do (leg injury), but wants nothing more than to love on someone. The crate life just isn’t for her.

🚨URGENT FOSTER NEEDED🆘

We have less than TWO WEEKS to find a foster home for two bonded, three year old sisters.

Luna and Winnie are two of the sweetest cats you will ever meet! They were adopted from us 3 years ago, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they have to be re-homed.

These two have been described as “dog-like” by their previous owner, and they love everyone they meet!

They have a lot of energy and crave attention, so would do best in a foster home where the humans are present to frequently play with them!

They DO tend to get a little naughty (I.e. chewing on things they shouldn’t) without frequent play time, so we hope to find them a place that can accommodate. A tidy/minimalist home would be ideal to keep them safe from chewing on something that could hurt them!

Hi friends - as we mentioned in our last post, our funds are low.

We have cameras placed in multiple places because we have yet to have a single sighting of our lost cat, Beef… but where there is food and cameras, there are more cats that need help.

These two have more than likely been “BEEFING”, or mating… and they need our help.

Can you throw a little something our way today so that we can get these guys the medical attention they need?

Meet Agent Orange.

He showed up on our cameras looking like he needed a haircut, but his vet notes go FAR beyond that.

He is FIV+, has severe periodontal disease, is missing most teeth - including bottom canines and many incisors, has severe flea allergy dermatitis, bilateral eye infections, pustules on his skin, and wounds all over his legs.

He will be held captive with us for a while so that we can get him the appropriate treatments that he needs, but he is going to be costly.

Not to mention, we trapped his buddy who has very similar issues. (We’ll share him next!)

*Also, if you’ve ever wanted the easiest foster situation, and have the space to set up a crate in your home - he could really use a place to recover. He is currently in a foster home with way too many other cats. Let us know if you’d be up for letting him crash until he’s ready to be released!

BEEF is lost in Carnegie! Dawson and Dow Ave.!

He escaped his foster home on Saturday morning, and jumped onto their roof!

We were hopeful we would spot him quickly, but that has not been the case.

He is a very sweet, but very scared boy.

Trap is set and cameras are out, but we would appreciate you spreading the word - especially if you know anyone who feeds cats in the area!

He is neutered and microchipped!

Hello friends - this is Iris.

Iris is the mama of our four kittens you may have donated to a couple of weeks ago.

Right around the time we asked for food donations for the babies, mama Iris started to exhibit some strange symptoms…

While she had been having intermittent diarrhea the whole time we’ve had her, it suddenly became constant. Along with that came vomiting. This lead to a vet visit and a Coccidia diagnosis, which lead to treating all 5 cats… which lead to stress for mom.

But wait! There’s more.

After a few days of closely monitoring her weight, as well as her behaviors on camera, we concluded she must be uncomfortable down below - our guess was either a UTI or Pyometra.

She had BOTH!

Pyometra is an infection of the uterus that can be deadly if not treated. Part of the treatment plan is an emergency spay, which we were thankfully able to have done yesterday.

Her recovery hasn’t been a good time. As you can see, she was very drooly on her ride home, and continues to hate just about every measure we have to take in order to get her back on track - meds, cones of shame… time away from her babies. 😞

Her vetting put us over $500 yesterday, and this doesn’t count her previous vet visit.

Don’t be stupid. You know we love you. But please don’t bring lilies into your home this Easter! 🐣 It will take your cat out within 48 hours of ingestion, and you will spend thousands trying to help it. And it likely won’t help.

Just don’t do it.

Yes we’re still here. Yes we still have kitties.

Social media has been hard to keep up with, but we have some growing babies that could really use a nice supply of wet food.

Can you donate to help us make that happen this morning?

We have also been getting a lot of requests to take in extremely friendly adult cats, but we have no fosters available.

We know one is definitely good with dogs, but she is a senior.

Another is good with other cats, young and beautiful.

The other group is sweet as can be, but living outside.
