I always appreciate when past clients, (cause they moved away with their precious little fur babies, which really shouldn’t be allowed 🤭) reach out to me. Whether it’s updates on how everyone is doing, new little fur babies added to family, with pictures of course or just to say hi and we miss you.🥹🥰
Last night, I received an unexpected message. One I had to share with my own family. 🥺
My Max absolutely loved when I would bring this little one over to play, his little girlfriend. 🐾🩷 My family always asked for her to come back too. She was a special little one.🫶🏻♥️🫶🏻
And I was so lucky and absolutely honored to be able to be her “dog sitter”. ♥️
I will never forget our meet and greet, ohhh it was love at first sight with her and her fur brother, Woody.
I couldn’t wait for their parents to go on vacation, I think I may have said, “you’re leaving today right?”
Sydney was absolutely the sweetest little girl. 🤍🐾🤍 How she loved playing, sitting in your lap and hanging on the deck. Wherever she was and whoever was around, they always fell in love with this little princess.
She definitely stole your heart!

Tonight I ask, Please, help me say a prayer for Sydney’s family. She will be missed tremendously by all who were so lucky to know her.

It's fawn season! Animal Care & Control officers have recently received many calls regarding fawns that residents believe have been abandoned.

Please leave fawns alone. Human intervention will only hurt a fawn's chances of survival. Never touch, feed, or move a fawn unless it is next to an injured or dead doe.

Important Facts to Keep in Mind:
▪️ Mother deer typically return to their fawns late at night or early in the morning to feed them.
▪️ Moving a fawn makes it difficult for the mother to find it. This can lead to permanent abandonment and death for the fawn.
▪️ Mother deer are often nearby and may charge humans to protect their young.

Last night I received some devastating news. 🥺💔
It is never easy to receive these messages or calls. Your heart just drops to the ground.
But, I will say, for me, it is such an honor to be part of your families. 🐾♥️
This sweet boy, Gotti, was the sweetest old soul, at the precious age of 13. 🐾🫶🏻💙
You could not help but to love Gotti endlessly. ♥️ His little quirks. 🥹 How gentle he was when taking his treats. ☺️ How he would make sure at bedtime he was near me. 🥹 Ohhh and How he trained his fur sister, Layla to be a good girl. 😊🐾🥹
Gotti loved laying outside in the sun, had his favorite spot, and would sit there for hours if ya let him. I would tell his mommie he had selective hearing.🤭
Losing a loved one is never easy 🥺and for me It’s never the same when I go in and someone is missing. I pause, pray and give many extra hugs to the babies that are there for me to love on.♥️
Today, I am sending prayers, love and soooo many hugs to my friends, Judy, John and sweet Layla ♥️🫶🏻♥️
Rest in Peace, Gotti. Auntie Tawni loves you and will miss you tremendously.

🧺🐾 Wishlist Wednesday 🐾🧺

Well friends… our shelter dryer has officially retired. 😅 After many years of loyal service (and MANY loads of puppy blankets, towels, and laundry), it has finally called it a day.

We are currently in need of a dryer—new or gently used!

Do you:
✨ Own a business that may be willing to donate one?
✨ Know someone who knows someone?
✨ Have a working dryer you’re looking to part with?

We would be incredibly grateful for the help. Keeping up with laundry is a HUGE part of shelter life, and our washer/dryer basically work harder than all of us combined. 🐶🧼

No dryer? No problem! We could also really use:

🧽 Laundry Detergent
🧻 Paper towels
