Laverne is an affectionate girl who truly comes alive when she’s around her people. Whether she’s leaning in for pets or settling in beside you, Laverne is all about those close, comforting moments.

She does wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions. She has a playful nature and would fit beautifully into a home looking for a loving presence.

Laverne would do best in a home without cats.

She came to us alongside her sister, but over time, Laverne has shown she’s ready to branch out and find a home of her very own. She doesn’t need to be adopted with her sister, just a loving family who will give her the attention she adores.

This handsome boy has such a sweet and gentle soul! He may come off a little shy when you first meet him, but give him a moment, and you’ll quickly discover an absolute love bug who just wants to be by your side.

His foster says he’s been:
🐶 Loving and snuggly
🐶 Great with their other dogs
🐶 Great with their cats
🐶 Super sweet and kind to their child

He’s the kind of dog who will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give and return it tenfold. Even better? Sett is a social butterfly with the best manners! He does wonderfully with kids, gets along great with other dogs, and even does well with cats.

Sett does have one little quirk, his tummy can be a bit sensitive (hey, IBS happens to the best of us!). He thrives on a special gastrointestinal diet, and to help set him up for success, his adopter will go home with some of his food to get started.
Sett has so much love to give and is ready to find a family who will cherish him for the amazing dog he is!

Looking for a new best friend this summer? Now is the perfect time!

Throughout the entire month of June, adoption fees on our large dogs have been reduced to just $25 to help more amazing pets find the loving homes they deserve.

All of our adoptable doggos are already spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations so all of that vet work is done for you! We now even offer microchipping services for only $15 too if you're interested.

During the month of June for our Big Dogs & Big Hearts campaign, Max's adoption fee is only $25.00!!

This gorgeous boy can be shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time, patience, and kindness, and you'll discover the loving sweetheart that Max is!

Max enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine friend to help show him the ropes. Whether it's relaxing in the shade, exploring a walking trail, or simply enjoying a quiet evening after a day of summer fun, Max is happiest spending time with people.

Keep your pets safe in style! Join us for a FREE Engraved Pet ID Tag event, where the SEKHS team will be onsite at The Doggie Bag creating and engraving personalized ID tags for your furry companions.

Whether your pet is a playful pup or a curious kitty, having a proper ID tag is one of the simplest and most important ways to help them get home safely if they ever wander off.

Event Details:
✨ Limit 1 per guest
✨ The SEKHS will be onsite from 11AM - 1PM on Saturday, June 27th
✨ Tags can be engraved on the front AND back
✨ Must choose from existing tag styles onsite (the engraving machine is custom fitted for their tag shapes and sizes)
