(I accidentally posted below on my moment here with the grandkids, I meant to type on my FB page, saw and deleted)
But then thought I'd type it back here)
Remember to take those memory times with kids, grandkids, actually anytime.
Life is soo short and enjoy it. Giving God the praise)

The kids are here waiting on the bus all is quiet.. I'm in the kitchen and run real fast into the living room and stop.. and start singing and dancing "I feel good". They both look at me then each other as if "what in the world??? "..
Yeah one of those laughable moments.

I'm sure some have already heard and yes it's true.
Just letting you know after almost 30 years and these last days of trunk breakdowns, insurance cost rising, and health issues we are closing the doors of Ray's Trash Service.
Sorry for short notice but we can't get the trucks going. We thank you for putting up with us all these years.
We are truly going to miss everyone. I even told Len as I wrote this I had tears I felt like after 27 years we've come to know you and it feels like we're loosing friends.
We will remember everyone and keep you in our prayers. May God continue to bless you.

It's us again..
Once again it seems we are in a battle here. We are aware that routes are being delayed. We truly apologize and understanding the frustration. We finally thought we were getting head way until Friday afternoon when we pulled into the driveway to stop for lunch and the clutch (I think that's what they said went out). Glad it happen in the driveway and not out on the road somewhere. They tried working on it before transfer station closed so we could unload, etc. They worked on Saturday and finally got the parts today and are out trying to get back to things working. (Sunday)
We do not know if transfer station will be open tomorrow due to Martin Luther King and/or Presidential events. If Not we will be back out on the roads again after we unload the truck.
We know it's very frustrating to have trash laid up and we truly apologize.

Word of advice or suggestion.. If you're taking trash to your can.. And slip on the ice.. Throw down the bag if possibe and land in it. It'll soften the impact of landing on ice.

It's Monday Jan 13th, and we are slowly like a herd of turtles off down the road on routes.
We truly understand the frustration of not pickups and we apologize. Hopefully things will get back to normal this week.
Be safe out there it's still icy and slick in driveways and walkways.

We apologize for any delays on picking up. As most know due to weather etc.. We will not be running tomorrow and will resume to normal as soon as we can. It's rough out there.
We use to have a gas stove and somewhere in my bright little brain I thought.. Let's go electric stove.
As I lay here all bundled up under layers of covers I've already decided that as soon as finding a good used gas stove we're going back to that. At least if power went off you could still boil water.. Anyway, going close to three hours now no power. The whole country side is silent.
It'll be restored soon I'm sure.

Please bare with us today as we "dance in the rain".. I can't dance so it'll be more like a drowned rat in the rain.
We've seen a few beginnings of water in the road with all this rain all day it'll be over the road quickly.

Good morning.
Due to transfer being closed today we won't be running routes today. Also want to apologize for those customers we weren't able to get last week. We will get to you as soon as possible.
Also, just asking prayers for my family (Ruth).. My brother David passed away yesterday and life seems to be in a blur right now..

These are truly days of feeling like a herd of tutles..

It's going to be another scorcher this week folks.. Please if ya have to get outdoors drink plenty of water. Also keep an eye on your neighbor, especially the elderly. If they need items from store.. Perhaps go for them so they won't have to get out. Outside pets need lots of shade and water.
We still have afew of youns to pick up for from Friday. Please bare with us, as we will get them this morning.
With all that said.. We're off like a herd of turtles...
