Our greenhouses are heated with used motor oil (in the winter), and we also use rain water to irrigate our crops. The greenhouses are open for sales on Tues

days, Fridays, and Saturdays from 3-6. We also sell at several of the local Farmer's Markets, including the Pittsboro (Thursday, 3:30-6:30) and and Western Wake markets (Saturday mornings). In winter, we are at the market at Angelina's Kitchen, Thursday from 5-7. If you need produce or have any questions about our operation, feel free to call us at 919 389 8643.

Hey, all! Screech is *still* looking for land. He would like 5-10 acres of farm land in Chatham County on a 10-year agricultural lease. If you want to find out more, ring him at 919 389 8643.

Hey, y'all! Tomorrow, Wednesday, we will be selling produce (inside, most likely) at the 580 Craft Beer Potluck from 6-7:30 PM. Evangeline will be bringing tomatoes, cucumbers, shallots, onions, and possibly some small potatoes. (Cash or check only; we don't have an option for plastic.) C'mon out and support TWO local businesses; don't forget to bring a dish for the potluck!

Hey, folks... we are still needing a little extra support as we have gone about 13 weeks without a normal tomato harvest. Normally, we harvest about 400 pounds a week. Currently, we are only pulling in about 100 pounds per week. (That's up from 40 pounds per week two weeks ago.) You also get the chance to trim Screech's beard or get a lovely farm-to-fork meal at Angelina's Kitchen!

Hey, y'all! A few months ago, our boilers froze up when the nighttime temps hit zero. As a result, we lost about 8-12 weeks' worth of our tomato crop. Well, y'all, we tried to put this off, prevent it, avoid it, but due to the boilers dying during that ZERO DEGREE NIGHT about two months back, we are in dire financial straits and have started a funraiser. Please pass around...

Working up the pepper seed order... looks like we'll be trying a few new varieties this year!

12/29/2017

Hey, folks. We've still got plenty of tomatoes and lettuce at the greenhouses, available for purchase. Screech just put carrot seed in the Greenhouse Formerly Known as Pepper, and we've got onions and shallots in the ground for spring 2018. Happy New Year!

Hey, all! Well, you've all been waiting patiently, and I'm pleased to announce that we're PICKING THE FIRST RIPE TOMATOES TODAY! For those of you who attend Eno River Farmers Market in Downtown Hillsborough, we will have plenty of red and orange tomatoes this Saturday! For those of you closer to Pittsboro, feel free to come by starting tomorrow PM. TOMATOES!!!!!

Hey, all. Our market attendance at Fearrington has been sporadic, as we don't have quite enough lettuce to bring lately. (We're still up in the air about this Tuesday, btw.) However, we still have okra, peppers (sweet and hot), a variety of herbs, and also succulent plants and some native trees available at the greenhouses. C'mon by after 3 any day (call at 919 389 8643 if you want to check that we're there, but someone usually is), and you can see what's growing and choose what you want to buy!

07/25/2017

Well, folks, we've shut down the cucumber and tomato houses, and the lettuce is still growing. To that end, we will NOT be at Fearrington Farmers' Market today. There will, however, be plenty of other goodies there, so we encourage you to stop by and shop local!
