I attended the Indiana State Fair rabbit show today. It was an interesting learning experience. I found it different from a regular open show and also different from Convention that I attended last year. I always enjoy meeting people with questions about lionheads. One little girl memorized all of my rabbits names. She absolutely adored them. It was very cute!

I got 3 firsts, 2 seconds and a third. Faithful Acres Lucy took best of variety for Siamese Sables. She has such nice wool quality but but is still working on her break. Thanks again, Faith!

One of my rabbit friends, Wendy Hansen, made this ornament of a Lionhead. I think it looks like my doe Front Porch Purple Heather. I love it!

It was a warm and muggy day in front of fans at the Porter County Fair Open Rabbit Show today. My friend Tiffany Rhew was the show secretary and organizer. She put in a lot of work to get things off to a good start in her local area. I had a great time!

My REW junior doe, Faithful Acres Gracie, took Best of Breed earning herself her first leg!

My last 2 litters of Convention babies were born this week. Both are fathered by GC Lavender Fields Showbiz. The moms are both smoke pearls: Lions & Lilies Andromeda and Front Porch London Fog. It’s London’s first litter and she’s doing a great job so far.

My goal is to have some nice babies for Convention. I have a couple litters that are 3 weeks and I am hoping for a couple litters on Monday. I purchased a large fan to add to the things I am doing to keep everyone as comfortable as possible. Hoping and working for the best in our little heatwave.☀️

I was very happy to attend the inaugural rabbit show in Valparaiso, Indiana today! I registered Front Porch Purple Heather today too! She is my very first rabbit I have registered and I am so proud of her. Her mane is waning so she only achieved best of variety and a very nice honorable mention when the judge was choosing BOB. She has about 6 or so legs and 2 of them are for Reserve in Show. I have high hopes for her babies in the future!

I also showed 2 young REW junior does: Front Porch Beatrice and Faithful Acres Gracie. Both had some very nice comments and Gracie won Best Opposite of Variety in show B. The judge even gave her an honorable mention when choosing BOB despite her being out of the running for it. It was a nice beginning for these young does.

Congratulations to Tiffany’s seal doe for 2 BOBs today!!!
