Tomorrow June 11, from 6-8 pm family and friends of Linda Parnell will gather at Under The Woods Event Center to honor a life well lived. We invite our staff, volunteers and clients who knew this wonderful lady to share in this tribute.

For more than a decade, the leaders of the I'm Your Huckleberry Spay Neuter Clinic have been saying exactly what Cathy is saying in a national call to action.
1. We cannot adopt our way out of pet overpopulation. Stopping the flow by spay neuter does that.
2. Access to care is not easy. Rural areas suffer from lack of facilities, veterinarians and funds. Our clinic brings all these things to McDonald County.
Citizens here are incredibly lucky to have the sponsorship of Bissell Fix The Future program. But we still have plenty of bills to pay that are not covered. We ask that you consider sponsorship as well, whether you own a business or are a private individual the animals and families in our area need your support. Today we are sad to let our followers know that Linda Parnell, one of the founders of our clinic, has left this world behind after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer.
Linda was strong yet kind, a generous woman of integrity and filled with a lifelong desire to make the world a better place for animals and people alike.
We share this photo of Linda with what we believe to be her last rescue save, 2 years ago, right here in our parking lot. Peddler went to our medical foster where he lived out his days knowing Linda cared enough to welcome him into the area we now know as our lobby.
To her family, you had a wonderful daughter and sister and we were so privileged to have been included in her circle of friendship. May she continue to watch over us as we work to advance the care of animals in our community.

Many people have asked us how they can support us without coming into the clinic or mailing a check. We have now a registered charity on paypal to make things easy for you. Setting up a monthly recurring donation would be a wonderful way to honor a beloved pet who has passed or to simply help another pet have a great life. Even $5 a month adds up to $60 and with that we can alter one dog and one cat. Imagine what having 50 donors at $5 a month would do for our community!

As we ramp up our efforts to raise $9000 for our program, here's a huge shoutout to Southwest City and their police department for their contribution of $1500. Southwest City is leading the way in progressive humane treatment of animals and we are very grateful for their support. Please share this with your city leaders and let them know that there's a reasonable approach to the pet overpopulation that they too should get behind!

As we prepare to honor our nations 250th birthday, we are preparing to celebrate in a big way here at the clinic.
🎆IF we can raise $9000 we will provide 250 FREE spay/neuters along with 2 vaccines to selected animals who have limited funding available.
💵Currently we are $3,000 short of our goal so we are reaching out to you, our followers, to bring this dream come true for so many deserving pets.
💰whether it's $5 or a sponsorship of $250 or more( media acknowledgment for your business) we know we can make this happen!
