For those of you who have followed Rockcastle Newfoundlands I would like to share pictures of two male puppies looking for their forever homes. They will not be ready to leave for another couple of weeks. Their parents came from me and I owned all 4 grandparents. I want to thank all the people who sent messages in support of our handsome girl "Coco". After over 20 years Rockcastle is a very big family. "Coco" went home with Kathy and Ken who have faithfully gotten newf pups from us from the beginning more than 20 years ago, from our first litters. Kathy and Ken have come back every few years for another puppy. Kathy and Ken wanted to honor Pat's memory(the other half of Rockcastle Newfs) so she is now "Millie", named after my dear Pat's mother, the most sweet and loving lady.

Well, we have one last litter, sort of in memory of Pat who loved this puppy life. I now know for sure that I cannot do this without him. It was a litter of 6 pups, many of whom are going to past customers. Parents are our Castle and Luna who both have the highest hip certifications. These are big handsome pups, perhaps some of the largest pups we have produced. Unfortunately, the largest of the two females has not gotten to her forever home yet, that family had a change in circumstances so "Coco" is looking for her forever home. She is just 8 wks one day old in the attached photos which were taken Monday 2/28/22, she was
born 1/2/22. Look at this handsome girl!!

Sadly on March 19, after 37 yrs I suddenly lost my Pat, the love of my life. He was so much a large part of Rockcastle Newfoundlands. I know that I cannot continue breeding puppies without him. Any of our puppy families who were hoping for a future Rockcastle Newfoundlands puppy can get in touch with me thru my email [email protected] and I can share the contact information for several breeders that I know well.

It has been a long hard year for all of us with the restrictions necessary with the "virus". Pat and I are over the hill, age wise, and have been very careful. No travel, no visits with family etc. I am pleased to report that we both now have our vaccines and feel like we can resume some of our normal life. SOOOO, we have decided to be totally free of puppies and the 24 hour a day commitment that they take - no breeding to be done until September and then we will hope for a late fall litter of browns and blacks. We hope everyone has a safe spring and summer.
