Ashley began her horseback riding career in 1998 and along the way rode with trainers Beanie Cone, Leslie Gattuso, and Frank Hernandez, as well as Michele Thompson. As a junior, Ashley had experience in the American Quarter Horse Association, United States Equestrian Foundation, and West Tennessee Hunter/Jumper Association. Over her youth career she placed top five at the All American Quarter Hors
e Congress multiple times and place top ten at the American Quarter Horse World Championship show multiple years as well, she also had numerous wins at the local A shows. Ashley also worked at Judy's Tack Shop and is knowledgeable in equine equipment and attire. Ashley moved to St. Petersburg, FL in May of 2015 to pursue her professional training and riding career and has since opened Owen Equestrian. Since moving to Florida, Ashley and her students have achieved continued success on the local and National show circuit. Highlights include qualifying for NHS 3’3 medal finals in 2020 and 2021 and Jumping Seat Medal finals 2021, top Jr rider in the $9,999 Huntfield Challenge and numerous championships and top ten placings at Fox Lea, CFHJA, HITS Ocala, WEF, Southeast Medal finals and multiple local shows. Ashley was also the 2021 recipient of the Fox Lea Farm Trainer of the Year award. Owen Equestrian also had the privilege of hosting an Anne Kursinski clinic and we look forward to future endeavors and continued success.
