Tuesday, June 24, 2025: Our office will be open during normal hours 8am-5pm. Services will be limited to technician appointments such as nail trims, prescription pick ups, food sales, and administrative services. Veterinarian services will not be available.

Fireworks and Independence Day will be here soon! If your pet needs sedation, we recommend ordering a prescription as soon as possible. The week of July 4th is a very busy time for the veterinary field, so early prescription requests are appreciated!

Memorial Day Hours:

We will have normal business hours and services on Saturday 5/24 (open 8am-5pm) & Sunday 5/25 (closed, with pick up or drop off available 4pm-5pm)

We will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26th. No pick ups or drop offs are available on our Monday closure.

We will be reopening for normal business hours on Tuesday, May 27th.

TICKS ARE OUT IN FULL FORCE!

If your dog is not already on a flea and tick preventative, now is a great time to start. Ticks can latch on to feed on a host (dogs and other species) and cause tick bite paralysis. Animals may experience a wobbly gait. fatigue or loss of reflexes. Removal of the tick is the most important treatment. However, the toxins released from the tick may affect breathing muscles and be life-threatening for some animals. In this case, veterinary consult is encouraged even if the tick has been removed.

Just like humans, pet's need dental care too! Regular brushing can help with the prevention of periodontal disease, but unfortunately pet's do not understand, and brushing may not always be possible. Therefore, routine dental care with anesthesia, through a veterinarian is ideal to provide thorough evaluation, cleaning and treatment.

Not only does periodontal disease cause pain and problems in the mouth, but it may also effect the kidney's, liver and heart, so routine care is very important for overall health.

The the attached image shows what we can see from the outside in regards to periodontal disease. However, most dental disease occurs below the gumline, where it's hard to see. Our services include the option of dental x-rays, so we have the ability to see below the gumline, and determine the best care for your pet.
