On March 7, 2025 Brenda attended GROOM'D in Atlanta, GA it is one of the largest and toughest grooming competitions in the world. Groom'd is composed of grooming competitions, seminars, trade show a place where groomers gather to learn, compete, shop and network with one another. Brenda after 7 years returns to the grooming competition ring, grooming one of her Kerry Blue Terriers at Groom'd. Her kerry Blue Terriers Brenril kennel name dominated the ring of kerries with 6 of Brenda's dogs from her breeding program being borrowed by top groomers in the United States and Canada at Groom'd Brenda's dogs are becoming very much in demand to be used by the top groomers. If your asking why? Brenda has been breeding over 22 years of the Kerry Blue Terrier. Her dogs have become some of the best breed dogs in the breed. Brenda focusing on stable temperament, breed standard in conformation, and effortless movement. When groomers are competing on the high levels in grooming competition they have two hours to complete the dog. They need a dog that is breed standard correct and beautiful in appearance. When cutting the dog out of the hair it needs to be as correct as possible to just follow the dog and not have to make corrections along the way leaving or taking hair where it normally would or wouldn't be. Brenril dogs fit that standard just follow the dog while cutting the hair away.
Groomers borrowing Brenil (Brenda's AKC Kennel Name) dogs are as follows Lis Johnston of Wisconsin #2 groomer in USA Groom Team member, Stephanie Wilson of Ohio, Jovi Miru Wagner of Canada Canada Groom Team member, Robby Hartley of Florida nominated most congeniality, Sophia Staples of Virginia nominated Groomer of the year.
Brenda proved her skills in the grooming ring competing against the top groomers from around the globe. She feels confident that she is working in her God-given talent of grooming dogs.
