“Why it’s worth it” Day 5…

You look at them and think—

“Okay… I get it now.”

They’re still biting.
Still learning.
Still a little wild.

But now they:
✔ Settle faster
✔ Understand routine
✔ Look to you for guidance
✔ Feel like your dog

This is the shift.

The chaos starts turning into connection.

And everything you’re doing right now?

It’s building the dog they’ll become.

Stay consistent. Stay patient.

No for now. Not forever.

“You find your Rhythm “ Day 4…

You’re not as overwhelmed anymore.

You’re starting to read them:
“When they wake up = potty.”
“After they drink = potty.”
“After play = potty.”

They’re starting to understand you:
Crate = rest
Routine = predictable
Calm = safe

Accidents decrease.
Settling improves.
Confidence grows, on both sides.

This is where it starts to feel… doable.

Not perfect.
But manageable.

And that’s a huge win.

“The break through” Day 3… this is where things start to shift.

Walter is the sweetest boy—but he’s still a puppy.

Three days ago?
He screamed when I left the room.

Today?
He settles calmly while I move around the house—wide awake, no peep.

He’s using the doggie door to go potty…
But we still stay on schedule—every 20 minutes, every drink.

Because if he has an accident?
That’s not his fault—that’s on us.

He went from fighting the crate…
To walking in and settling for naps.

Nighttime?
We’re already down to one potty break.

The biting. The jumping. The chaos?

Still there.

But so is the progress.

This is what consistency does.

This is why you don’t give up in the first few days.

The exhaustion hits ….Day 2…

The sleep deprivation is real.

You’re watching them constantly.
Potty every 20–30 minutes.
Interrupting accidents.
Trying to figure out a rhythm.

They might cry in the crate.
They might resist naps.
They might feel like… a lot.

This is where most people feel overwhelmed.

But here’s the truth:
Nothing is wrong. You’re just in the adjustment phase.

Stay consistent.
Keep structure tight.
Don’t give too much freedom.

You’re building habits right now.

And it’s already working—even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.

Day 1 “what did I just do” Day 1 with your 8-week-old puppy…

You’re excited. They’re adorable. You’re in love.

And then…

The crying starts.
They follow you everywhere.
They don’t understand anything yet.
And you’re wondering if you made a mistake.

This is normal.

They just left everything they’ve ever known—mom, littermates, routine.

Your job today isn’t perfection.
It’s comfort, structure, and keeping things simple.

Close space.
Frequent potty breaks.
Lots of reassurance.

This isn’t forever.

It’s just Day 1.
