Honor drills with all the big dogs this morning. When I work on honors I don't line all the dogs up and send one at a time and I definitely don't use place board. Two dogs at a time put in three different situations each dog has to take turns honoring the other dogs work. I use trial like situations that will more than likely happen in a trial.
It's nice to have seasoned dogs that I can work the young dogs with. But even then there are some mistakes made.

Well, fall trials are set. North Dakota both Cocker and Springer, followed by Timpanagos Cocker and Springer.
Springer team will be Draven and Riot. Cocker team Rogue, Kenzie, and Tom.
We'll be on the road for three weeks. We'll get to hang out with old friends. As well as send three of the pups to there new homes.

The Hawk x Wryndy pups are only a few short weeks from going to their forever homes in Nebraska, Iowa, Montana and Washington where they will join their new families in the field doing what they love best. Hard working, hard driving little balls of fire they are, loving life!

Another fun morning with the pups. Started introducing them to big dog cover this week. They all had three chukars the were loosely shackled and clipped wings. All four pups had at least two moving birds that they had to sort out and find, it was fun watching them learn. By the second moving birds they had already figured that the bird had moved. Extreme patients on my part to just stand there and let them learn. Like I stated in an earlier post it's hard to remember that these pups are still babies at just 7 months old.

Let the fun begin! First pheasants of the fall season.
Having your bird supplier only a half mile away makes it pretty handy. Plus the fact they are quality birds. Both Inland Empire and Western Washington use the birds for their trials.
