Whoop!!🙌 Another one!
𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 – 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐤 & 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲
Youth contender Bella Beck and her horse, Reining Royalty, claimed the Limited Non Pro Championship with a score of 73.5.
While Reining Royalty has no trouble sliding his way to the top of the leaderboard, the 5-year-old gelding is completely blind in his right eye and has been since he was a c**t. Yet, it doesn’t slow him down in the slightest.
“I forget about it most of the time until people are like, ‘Oh, what happened?’ and I’m like, ‘Oh yeah – his eye.’ I forget about it. He's completely fine with everything, and he's just the sweetest boy,” Beck said.
Bred by Michell Kimball and owned by Bella Beck, Reining Royalty is by Spooks Gotta Whiz and out of Bella Della.
“He's always so excited to show, and the closer we get to packing up and showing, the more excited he gets,” Beck said.
Beck credits a small portion of her win to the “lucky blue halter” Reining Royalty wears.
“I won this halter two years ago here with my 13 and under horse, Buddy, and we were the 13 and Under High Point (winners), and we've been bringing it along ever since. And then last year, I was the 14 to 18 Classic Challenge Champion. We put the same halter on now… I guess it’s just the halter that lives on.”
Beck thanks her parents, Shane Brown (her trainer), CS Ranch for putting a great foundation on her horse, and the NRBC show staff and sponsors – and of course, the horse that wears the “lucky blue halter.”
