Well, I am woefully behind on making this post, because I have tried all week and I’m still struggling to find the words that I want. Every year, this particular week is a very special week around here, because it is NATIONAL VET TECH WEEK! 🥳
But where do I start telling you what is so special about these ladies? There aren’t quite words to accurately describe their dedication, work ethic, mad technical skills, willingness to go above and beyond, kindness, compassion, tenacity, mental, toughness, honesty, devotion and on and on and on. If you have been here, you know what I’m talking about. Our staff is small in number, but mighty in heart, and I wouldn’t trade our priceless few for any thing in the world.
I’m thankful for the team we have now— they’re truly worth their weight in gold. 💛Jamie, Danielle, and Tiffany… I count you among my greatest blessings and I’m so grateful you are in our lives. These ladies have juggled kids and pets and distance and inclement weather and injuries and illness and everything in between to come show up and make a difference every day. Nobody knows the sacrifices they make but the impact they have on so many is life-changing and truly such a blessing. And our students, Ella and Maggie, balancing senior year and work like rock stars— y’all are so special to us all and your sacrifice is so very appreciated.
I’m thankful for the ones who have been part of our team in the past who still come fill in when we’re in a pinch (y’all know who you are 😅). I’m thankful for the ones who have been with us for a season and then gone on to do big things like become veterinarians and healthcare workers and big-time world changers.
So join me in celebrating these beautiful ladies! Give them a shout out in the comments and maybe share a picture of your baby whose life is better because of them. (Ps, they won’t turn down treats or gift cards either!). HAPPY VET TECH WEEK, GIRLS!!!
