Pending AKC approval, Von Wolff's Huzzah! has earned his Championship title by going Winners Dog/Best of Winners under Judge Christine E. Calcinari at the Lima KC dogshow , Lima Ohio today.

This was Huzzah!'s 4th major. He was 2 years old in May. He will soon be competing for his Grand Champion title.

Thanks to "Bear", who took Buck back in for Winners so I could stay on Huzzah!. 😄

Huzzah! Is health tested, Chic # 203456, proven( has sired 3 litters) and is standing at stud. PM me for details.

My good friend Cindy McQuinn had an outstanding success at the Key City Kennel Club dogshow on May 25, 2025.
I watched for her to post about it...and when she didn't, I asked "WHY Not?" Well, she works fulltime and is preparing for her Portuguese Water Dog Champion, Pilar's first litter....so this tremendous win got pushed to the back burner.
I told her..."I would like to post it!" and she said ..."Go Ahead!"

So...with no further ado...here are the results from that show...under Judge Ms Nancy Bodine, and Hound Group Judge Mr Thomas Alexander. This is REGULAR Group, not NOHS....btw :)

Yesterday we welcomed the first Von Wolff litter of 2025!
Von Wolff's Felix is now proven. ( CH. Wiley x Obsidian). Our Raven( GCH DC William x CH. Prancer) is the proud mama.
3 males, 2 females...all Black/ Tan or Blk/Cream longhairs.
The waiting list is being contacted.

Watch for Felix at dogshows later this summer. Raven will return to the showring after raising this litter.

Litter names TBD.

GCH CH Regal Romulus Von Wolff, ML. My oldest resident, born May 23, 2013. Rom has sired many wonderful offspring, including CH. Zuli, GCH CH Noel, Serene, Wellington, and has a host of grand and great grandchildren.
Rom is an official " housedog" at VWK. He has earned his comfortable retirement!
Although he CAN jump up onto the couch, he prefers to ask me, like this, to lift him. He is a perpetually sweet and loyal companion.

So, I am behind on posts by about a week...I need to catch up on Obie's spectacular Louisville results!

After being awarded a 4 point major on Thursday,March 13, which brought him to within 1 point of finishing his AKC Championship...Obie and Cindy McQuinn rocked the Winners Dog class under Judge Mr. Timothy Catterson on Friday, March 14...capturing a *5 point major*! and achieving his Championship level with 3 majors!!
Now, we will refer to him as AKC CHAMPION VONWOLFF OBERYN GOLDEN VIPER REINA DEL NORTE, MLCD!

Cindy moved him up into Best of Variety Competition for Sat and Sunday, March 15 and 16. Though he didn't take an award on Saturday....on Sunday under Judge Mr. J. Randall Tincher, Obie was Select Dog for 5 points and a major win towards his Grand Championship title! (Casual Photos below, Pro photos coming soon)

I can't completely express my pride and satisfaction at watching this young dog...he will be 1 year old March 30,2025... go out and show with his wonderful owner, and be so well received by our expert Judges and the Dachshund community at large!

Obie always gets a lot of attention at shows, as he is so willing to meet everyone with friendly kisses. His shining golden coat draws your eye and he does a lot to give a great representation of our Breed, and Miniatures, in general.

Watch for Champion Obie in upcoming dogshows as he works towards his Grand title!

And if you would like to have a beautiful show prospect like Obie of your own....send me a note. I have repeated the breeding of GCH. CH. Keno and Sparkles that resulted in Obie. Puppies due in April :)
