Dreams Disabled R Elderly Animal Mountain Sanctuary DREAMS has been dedicated to saving seniors out of central valley shelters since 1998. SO far DREAMS has been keeping things small due to limited income.

DREAMS..."A rescue sanctuary tucked into the hills of the California's Central Valley for disabled and senior animals in need, surrounding its residents in peace and love." Some seniors reaching us before getting to shelters when their owner passes away, or if senior & found on streets as stray. With so many seniors in need after 15 years of being a private sanctuary we have started working on non

profit status in California. Where when money permits we can rescue many senior or disabled animals in need. We are striving to be a hospice sanctuary for critical seniors in their last months. We have around 40 acres in the foothills of central California where our home sanctuary is located. We are a no cage, roam free home where the seniors are only crated when I am away in town a few hours, when needed.

A week or so back a friend posted the need for a foster, for a lady who needed some medical care. Being alone myself, I know exactly how hard it is when one doesn’t know anyone who could watch a loved furry family member, so I offered my home, as a temporary home for Miss Pixie.
She’s a tiny girl around 5lbs, & a young girl.
When I went to her home to pick her up yesterday, at first she sniffed me & Vinny out, but as quickly as she sniffed, she disappeared. It took awhile but after hiding behind her tree, Pixie decided she’d be my friend after all.
I am not sure if Pixie’s mama needs a few days, or a few weeks, but whatever time is needed, Pixie is safe in DREAMS land 🐾❤️

Just one home day this month, Romo 🥳
With not being able to financially pull any new dogs in a couple years, the home days, are months between each one.. Usually we’d have 2-4 home days each month. Having just 12 current furry kids in need, has been so much more easier physically, but also so bad on my mental health. The dogs are what keeps me going, they’re my life!, and not being able to save any in need for a couple yrs, has wreaked havoc on my already mentally disabled brain.
Romo gave me a scare a yr or two back, with his oral cancer mass. I am so thankful it healed with just the CBD oil, and that he was given an extra couple yrs.
Romo came at only around 5-6 yrs old, with his bonded boxer mate, Honey (who didn’t have very long left in her), after their owner passed away.
Happy 5 yrs home day, Romo, wishing for several more 🙏🏼🐾❤️

We have hit the triple digits lately, so time for KoChongs summer cut.
His hair is so thick, the new clippers I just got for him wasn’t even going through his hair. I had to use my clippers, that I use for my hair 🤦🏻‍♀️
That’ll teach me not to go for the cheap ones next time 😄.. 🐾❤️
KoChong is good for about 3-4 months, then he’ll need another shave down.
If anyone has any good clippers they don’t use anymore, could you please send them our way 🤞🏼

Pepper celebrated her 2nd birthday on the 12th. Pepper is Cinnamon’s baby. Didn’t even know her mama was pregnant. Two days before Cinnamon’s spay appt, along came Pepper and quite a few others. Thankfully Stacy was able to get her siblings into Wiggy Tails Rescue. 🐾🐾
Pepper is a very good girl, her mama is more hyper than her. She hates to walk on leash but she tolerates it for short periods of times. I need to start training her to go on hikes with me.
