Dreams Disabled R Elderly Animal Mountain Sanctuary DREAMS has been dedicated to saving seniors out of central valley shelters since 1998. SO far DREAMS has been keeping things small due to limited income.

DREAMS..."A rescue sanctuary tucked into the hills of the California's Central Valley for disabled and senior animals in need, surrounding its residents in peace and love." Some seniors reaching us before getting to shelters when their owner passes away, or if senior & found on streets as stray. With so many seniors in need after 15 years of being a private sanctuary we have started working on non

profit status in California. Where when money permits we can rescue many senior or disabled animals in need. We are striving to be a hospice sanctuary for critical seniors in their last months. We have around 40 acres in the foothills of central California where our home sanctuary is located. We are a no cage, roam free home where the seniors are only crated when I am away in town a few hours, when needed.

We have dried out a whole month shorter than usual. By May we are usually dried out, but it’s not even April, & we are already dried up. Just a few small patches of green left.
Going to be a bad snake 🐍 & fire 🔥 season this year 😰

Mya is a sulphur crested cockatoo rescued 21 yrs ago.
The home I got Mya from was at least her second home, so no idea on her age at the time.
Mya has a few phrases she says, but is quite for majority of the day. But never fail, when the kitchen light goes out, and the tv turned off, she’ll always ask for “more kisses” before bed 😘

We only had 5 passings this past year. Although it was nice not having to deal with so much death, it was extremely difficult not bringing on any new hospice kids who were in need.
December full moon I was sick, and unable to make it for the full moon ceremony, so had their services today while the sun was shining bright..

Happy New Year everyone 🎊
We spent it quietly at home, while the storm continued. We are finally getting this week, a break from all the storms we’ve been having. 🙌🏽
This year was so tough not taking in any newcomers. When you’re barely making it month to month, I didn’t think it was wise to bring on any more. Thankfully we’ve had a few people still continue to support the 13 dogs that remain here at DREAMS. I am so thankful, and appreciative to you guys for sticking through with us, even though we haven’t taken on anymore this past year. 🫶🏽
Hopefully a miracle will happen in 2026, so we’re not struggling so much 🙏🏼

Cookie was 15 at time of rescue, making her over 23 yrs old now.
Sage was only 4-5 weeks old.
& Cardi was around a yr old.. 🥓🥩🍖
