WE ARE CLOSING DOWN SOON:
We will be closing down between mid-November to mid-December. This line of work takes a young person, or a 44 year old that is in good shape! I am neither. Due to the intensive labor demanded from this line of work to be sustainable as a career, we will no longer be able to stay in business.

You can be sad for your loss of GREAT lettuce, but please do not be sad for us. My feet, left knee, left hip, low back, right ribs, upper back, and left shoulder are all rejoicing to the coming day!!! They are so glad that my brain has caught up to the agenda my body has been trying to set!

EVERYTHING HAS A SEASON! THE SUN RISES AND SETS ON ALL.
This was cool, and this was neat, but everything comes and it goes. What's important is that we enjoyed it, and we feel good that we actually made it work! We were market gardeners from our backyard for almost 6 years! Crazy! But now it is over and that's ok!

Again, please don't feel the need to send "I'm sorry" but "congratulations" would be preferable! We feel proud about what we accomplished, but we are NOT sad to let it go!

We are thankful to God Almighty for helping through this crazy adventure. We are thankful to the Piedmont and surrounding area for their business and support! I am so thankful to my wife, Sara, and my family for supporting me fully in this!

Darin here: I started a couch to 5k program today. I am really out of shape with a lot of aches and pains. My drive and determination for getting in shape are at a lifetime low also.(thanks low T😆). When I got on the walking trail and started to run I thought how hard it was going to be. However, I kept coming across these little sayings on the asphalt. Maybe there was a race prior this week? Anyway, as I pondered on them they started to help...not my body, but my mind! Where the battle is at! They helped because I chose to let them help me to be positive about my situation. As I got a 1/4 of the way through I thought "I just might do this", then 1/2, I thought "I will do this". Then when complete "I did do this, and I can do it again!".

Now slow down men...I know you're thinking some girl put those sayings on there, and you NEED them to motivate you? What a WIMP! Maybe so, but this wimp finished today's race.

I am not one to believe that being positive changes your circumstances, but it can change your attitude...and it's even biblical!

Philippians 4:8

We don't want to stand outside so we have self-serve tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and cukes. You can fill a box as full as you want for only $4! While our Tomtoes are small this makes where you sure can fit a lot in!

Thanks to everyone being patient this week with our lack of lettuce in the store. We will have some by tomorrow afternoon (Thursday the 30th). In the mean time we sold tomatoes our front...we have the smaller tomatoes we had left inside the store for sale.
