We’re excited to announce that our adorable Mini Rex rabbits will be available starting May 12th at Poseidon’s Pets of Picayune! 💕

💲 Price: $40 each

These sweet, velvety-soft bunnies are known for their calm temperament and make amazing pets for families and individuals alike.

📋 Mini Rex Rabbit Care Sheet

🏡 Housing• Keep in a spacious cage or enclosure with solid flooring• Provide soft bedding (paper-based or hay)• Ensure a clean, dry environment with good airflow

🥕 Diet• Unlimited hay (timothy hay recommended)• Fresh vegetables daily (romaine, cilantro, parsley, etc.)• High-quality rabbit pellets in moderation• Fresh, clean water at all times

🧼 Care & Maintenance• Spot clean enclosure daily, deep clean weekly• Trim nails regularly• Provide chew toys to keep teeth healthy

🌡 Environment• Keep in a cool area (ideal temp: 60–75°F)• Avoid extreme heat—rabbits can overheat easily

💛 Handling & Socialization• Gentle handling is key• Rabbits are social—daily interaction is important

🐰✨ New at Poseidon’s Pets of Picayune! ✨🐰

We’re so excited to introduce our adorable Mini Rex rabbits—and trust us, their velvet-soft fur is something you have to feel to believe! 💕 These sweet bunnies are known for their calm personalities, playful nature, and unique plush coats.

If you’re thinking about adding one to your family, here’s what you need to know:

🌿 Care Basics:
• Diet should be unlimited hay, fresh water, plus pellets and veggies daily
• Provide a clean, spacious enclosure with soft flooring (their feet are sensitive!)
• They need daily exercise & social time—these are not “cage-only” pets
• Groom gently—no baths, and only light brushing to protect their soft fur
• Keep them in a cool environment (they don’t handle heat well)

⏳ Lifespan & Commitment:
Mini Rex rabbits typically live around 7–10 years (or longer with great care)
That means they are a long-term commitment, just like a cat or dog—not a short-term pet.

💛 What to Expect:
• Friendly, curious, and full of personality
• Can be litter trained
• Thrive on attention and routine
• Require regular care, and cleaning

Today, we celebrate hope, renewal, and the promise of new beginnings. We are incredibly grateful for our amazing team whose hard work and dedication make everything we do possible. Thank you to our wonderful employees for all that you do each day!

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our beautiful community for your continued support — we are so thankful to serve each and every one of you.

We’ll be open this Saturday from 10 AM – 5 PM, just in time for the day before Easter!

Love animals and want to join our team? We’re looking for someone who shows up, works hard, and is willing to learn.

Must have:
• Reliable transportation
• Good customer service
• Cleanliness & strong work ethic
• Dependability

Duties include: caring for animals, cleaning enclosures, feeding, picking up waste, mopping floors, selling animals to customers, and helping as a farm hand with animal care at our home location.

🐍🐠 Reptile and fish knowledge preferred, but we will teach the right person.

Hours:
Mon–Fri 1–7 PM | Sat 12–5 PM
Extra hours may be needed to ensure all animals are properly cared for.
