Live aquarium filtration?

Getting ready to travel to Reefapalooza California this weekend and look what I found inside this 2.75in NOSOK that we run in our 10-gallon Waterbox cube tank. It's an entire colony of filter feeding tube worms.

Apparently they have been hard at work keeping this tank, looking great. And the cool thing is, with the NOSOK, we get to keep them both in place, but also contain them to a single location inside the tank. It is literally like a live particulate filter...

More versatility  - less sock washing...

The NOSOK gives you options. In this video, we show you how to use Phosphate absorbing media to wrap the core of a 4in NOSOK.

You can use all kinds of different filtration media, such as activated carbon infused spong, poly filters, course black sponge, fleece sheets or filter floss. The customization is nearly limitless.

It's been a minute...

After a few weeks of traveling for Reef-a-palooza Orlando  and then Aquashella Dallas, I finally got a chance to clean the NOSOKs in the big reef tank.

It was definitely due - but even with it fully clogged,  the task was quick and simple.

No fuss, no muss - we will never have to wash a filter sock again!
