Our program is dedicated to producing exceptional family companions who embody the perfect blend of beauty, health, and temperament. At the core of our mission is the commitment to ensure that each dog not only meets the written breed standards but also thrives as a beloved member of the family. We prioritize creating dogs that are healthy, long-lived, and capable of forming deep connections with their humans.

While show titles are a wonderful bonus, they serve to validate that our dogs adhere to the written breed standards, showcasing their ability to perform under various pressures while maintaining a strong focus on their handlers. We believe that an impressive-looking dog should be more than just visually appealing- each dog must be structurally sound and solidly built to keep pace with our active lifestyles. Whether it's hiking through mountainous trails ALL day, engaging in sports like lure coursing, or chasing after jollyballs, our dogs are bred for versatility and stamina.

Temperament is equally important in our program. We select for loving, steady-natured companions who can easily transition from showing to playing to cozy couch time on a rainy day, curled up while we read or relax. These dogs are more than just pets, they are our partners in life, capable of traveling across multiple states to participate in show competitions or simply enjoying the peace of home.

Our goal is to breed dogs that not only meet the standards of their breed but also have the qualities of the best companions—solid temperaments that adapt to a variety of environments and lifestyles while providing unyielding love and loyalty.

You have had 6 months since the last holiday. Get Your Pets Ready for the next Fireworks Season.

NOW is the time to focus on preparing your pets! Every year, we hear complaints about dogs being scared of fireworks, but the truth is: you have the power to help them! Do it! Please do not wait to the last minute before 4th July and then complain that your pet is scared.

Instead of waiting until the last minute, begin working with your pets NOW. There are a multitude of resources available to help them become more comfortable with loud noises. Here are just a few effective strategies:

Desensitization Training
You can use audio recordings readily available on platforms like YouTube. Start by playing these sounds at a very low volume during normal activities, like while watching TV, cooking dinner or playing with your dog. Gradually increase the volume over days or weeks as your pet gets more accustomed to the sound.

Consult Your Vet
If desensitization doesn't work well for your pet, talk to your veterinarian. They can advise on whether a mild sedative may be necessary, especially around the holiday.

Use Tools
Consider using thundershirts, ear muffs, or simply turning up the TV volume to help drown out the noise during the fireworks.Take Action Now!

Go somewhere there are less celebrations
Perhaps a camping trip to a secluded area (you may have to scout it out in advance to make sure no one is around being loud partying nearby)
Book a hotel in an area that isn't known for huge celebrations.
Go for a long drive/road trip (if your dog likes car rides)

It’s time to shift the focus from frustration and blaming the 'fireworks' to action. With some effort and planning, we can create a more comfortable environment for our pets. Let's not let them suffer when we have solutions!

Your pets depend on you. Let’s make this fireworks season a little less stressful for them!

All our pets slept through the noise, not a single woof out of anyone ❤️

🐾💔 What a Scary Adventure! 💔🐾

Yesterday started like any other day. Dogs playing in the morning, visiting with friends and a little shopping during the day. In the evening we let Sonora outside to play before bed. When she came back in, I noticed some welts on her back. At first, I thought it was just some bug bites— strange though since there weren't any bugs around, it's too cold.

After a moment of thought, I remembered I had just switched her food. Could it be an allergic reaction?

I called the emergency clinic and they suggested Benadryl and bringing her in if there was no improvement.

An hour later, uneasiness set in when the welts started spreading all over her body, her face began to swell and her breathing became labored. My heart raced as I called the emergency clinic again.

With the clock ticking past midnight, we made the drive to the clinic, which was over an hour away. It was dark, stressful, and scary, but we had to do something!

After fluids, antihistamines, activated charcoal and steroids, Sonora started to stabilize. What caused this frightening episode? It wasn’t until the morning light when we got home that I discovered the culprit: the high winds had blown granules of fly bait from at least 30 feet away into our yard. 😱 She must have eaten some of it 🤮

Thankfully, Sonora is home now, resting comfortably with the face swelling mostly gone down, the welts on her body all gone, eating soft food, and drinking lots of water.

I would have been so heartbroken if we had lost her 💔 she is such a good dog, always happy, always 'helping' with chores, always making sure I'm safe in the bathroom 🤣

Lesson learned: Always be vigilant about anything toxic around your pets, even if it’s a “safe” distance away. 🐶❤️

Throwback to when Sheldon was a baby. He was so uggy he was cute 🤣 I love him so much even with his quirks (he won't eat out of a bowl no matter what material it's made of, he won't let me out of sight in the yard even if I just go out the gate he gets upset, he howls when I leave for work even if significant other is in the room 🤣 and he's obsessed with the treadmills to the point he asks to go on one 187 thousand times a day and pouts when I say no you just ran on it 10 minutes ago)
