🚨NEWEST MEDICAL INTAKE, HELP OUR RESCUE REPLENISH OUR EMERGENCY FUNDS 🚨

Meet Tonks! She is our newest foster intake, as the holidays approach our rescue has picked up and getting more and more surrender requests ❤️

Tonks came in on the evening of 11/18 and we had her immediately seen by our amazing exotic vets due to the immediate concern with her breathing and movement. *Photos & videos will be posted in comments of her condition*

This girl has been such a trooper! But she will have to be with us for at minimum 30 days, her current treatment is 2 weeks of two medications but it’s not guaranteed it fixes her issues.

We suspect she has a pretty bad upper respiratory infection along with possible trauma or neurological issues which are affecting her ability to use her back legs.

Course of action is to trial medications for 2 weeks and see if there are any signs of improvement, but if we do not see any progress we will need to get X-rays and try other routes.

Her initial appointment for exam and medications was $138.92 and the quote for future X-rays is $354.67 not including any other possible necessary treatments! Donations also help fund any food, bedding, supplements, etc while they are here!

While we have had funds this year due to rescue being slow, any further intakes or visits will wipe out our rescue fund 😔🩵

Trying to give Ursula some one on one time while I sit at my desk, this poor girl is so beyond shy it breaks my heart! She is still looking for that special home to take her in 🩵 as the holidays approach we are getting more intakes and losing space! I would love for her to go home before Christmas if possible so we can open up a cage spot at the rescue 🥹

Got notified that we recieved a 1 star review on our google business profile and was confused as we havent done any adoptions recently...when I checked the review I was even more confused as we DO NOT have a public phone number listed anywhere 😅 Somehow a 619 area code number was added to our business profile and the poor owner was getting spammed with calls and texts in regards to our rescue, 619 isnt even an AZ area code!

Phone number has been removed and we replied to the 1 star review 🥲 BUT PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT GIVE OUT OUR PERSONAL PHONE NUMBERS UNLESS WE CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY FROM A SURRENDER SUBMISSION!

Tried to get some cute photos of Ursula but this girl is honestly the shyest hedgehog I’ve seen in 7 years and it breaks my heart 🫶🏻 because she has the most beautiful coloring and markings!

Ursula is available for adoption to the right home, her adoption fee would be waived with proof of an approved enclosure. But we will be extremely picky of who she is rehomed to due to her temperament.

She needs an experienced owner or someone who is willing to put in the time and up for the challenge and possibility that she may never be social or comfortable with handling. I would not recommend her to someone who is afraid to handle a spicy hedgehog or to anyone intending to adopt for their child. Her constant huffing anytime I make noise or am near her cage would easily discourage a child from wanting to interact with her 🤍

Are you looking for a spicy lady? 🌶️🔥 Ursula might just be the perfect addition to your home!

Previously named Angel, we have nicknamed her Ursula for a more fitting representation of her temperament 😂❤️

Off the top of my head I believe Ursula is around 3 years old and did come a pedigreed breeder before they closed! She is VERY pretty once she shows her face. But it’s been very rare since being here ❤️

Ursula had plans to just stay with me, but I wanted to give her the opportunity to maybe find a home with more one on one attention!

She will come with some supplies, but an approved set up will be required for adoption!

This absolute cutie was just surrendered to our rescue! Meet Coco Bean 🤎

We gave her a bath and nail trim and she’s checking out her new set up while she quarantines and gets evaluated over the next 30 days!

Flounder had his 1 week checkup appointment this morning at Animal Medical Center of Surprise 🩵 after one week of meds we are going to monitor him for the next 2 weeks and hope the swelling on his jaw keeps going down/let the meds keep doing their thing if it’s fighting an infection!

Fingers crossed all stays well and it keeps going down! Otherwise we will have to look into other treatment options, but Flounder is definitely feeling a lot better! He was running around, pooping like crazy, and had lots of spirit today at his appointment 🤣

Little Flounder was the star of the show today at the vet! Little man is having issues with his chin so we are getting him started on some meds and see if it helps before we look into X-rays and possible cancer 🥺 send flounder some well wishes and a speedy recovery!!

Thank you to our wonderful supporters, because of you we are able to get hedgies here in AZ the medical care they need and thank you to AMC of Surprise, such an awesome staff who were so sweet today and got us in so quickly!!!

All items need to be cleaned disinfected before use. Not sure on conditions of cages or if they fully assemble! These are all items we got donated with rescues that were not used.

Pickup only in Surprise, AZ 85374. Will set out for claimers when on the way!

2 opened bags of Aspen shavings, they’ve been sitting in my garage for a while now just as an fyi. I would freeze batches as any loose bedding is a risk for mites/bugs! Opened bag was claimed!

*BARS NEED COVERED* green kaytee (i think) wire cage. It’s about 4 square feet I believe. Personally prefer larger cages for hedgehogs. Bars absolutely need covered.

Its been a bit since we've posted to the page, myself and our other foster home have been super busy with life and other things which has prevented us from taking in more rescues as we'd like! We currently have 2 fosters at the moment, Quill.I.Am & Rosie. We will get them posted as soon as we can for adoption. But at the moment, we are currently FULL and not taking in any surrenders at this time 🤍
