✨ Meet Ricardo! ✨

At Carefree Dentistry & Oral Surgery for Animals, we’re incredibly fortunate to have Ricardo as our Assistant Manager, Team Lead, and Veterinary Technician. His dedication, work ethic, and passion for veterinary dentistry make him an invaluable part of our team — and an inspiring example of growth within our practice.

A South Phoenix native, Ricardo discovered his calling in veterinary medicine after exploring different paths and realizing how profoundly dentistry and oral surgery can transform animals’ lives. He’s been devoted to the specialty ever since, bringing meticulous care and compassion to every patient he assists.

But Ricardo’s impact goes far beyond technical skills. He’s a natural leader who helps guide our team, trains colleagues, and ensures our hospital runs smoothly each day. Currently training to become a Practice Manager, Ricardo will soon take the reins at our new Raintree location, where we know he’ll continue to shine.

Outside of work, Ricardo enjoys Arizona sports, live games, and relaxing at home with his three pugs — Enzo, Ellie, and Petunia. His love for his job and his commitment to our patients and team are unmatched, and we’re so excited for the next chapter in his journey.

✨ Meet Carly! ✨

If you hear laughter echoing through the halls at Carefree Dentistry & Oral Surgery for Animals, there’s a good chance Carly is nearby! As one of our talented Veterinary Technicians, Carly brings both skill and a joyful spirit to our team every day.

Carly’s veterinary journey began back in 2015 as a CSR in California, but it didn’t take long for her passion for animal care to lead her into hands-on roles. Now based in Arizona since 2018, she’s steadily expanded her expertise and is currently pursuing her veterinary technician certification through Penn Foster.

Beyond her dedication to dentistry and patient care, Carly is a true multi-tasker in life. She’s a busy mom to two boys, enjoys adventures with her husband exploring new local eateries and breweries, and fills her downtime with hobbies like crafting, kickboxing, woodworking, and reading.

Carly’s laughter and positivity brighten our clinic, and her commitment to growth ensures our patients always receive compassionate, skilled care.

✨ Meet Karen! ✨

Karen is one of the welcoming faces you’ll see at our front desk here at Carefree Dentistry & Oral Surgery for Animals. A Phoenix native, Karen discovered her love for veterinary medicine during her very first job at an animal hospital — and after 18 years dedicated to raising her family, she’s thankful to be back in the veterinary field.

As a Customer Service Representative, Karen helps keep our hospital running smoothly. From coordinating appointments and patient records to greeting pets (and their people!) with a smile, she’s committed to making every visit as seamless and pleasant as possible.

Outside of work, Karen stays busy with her two kids, three cats (1 foster), and two frogs — plus plenty of time spent cooking, crafting, and enjoying family life. Driven and passionate, she’s already setting her sights on growing into an assistant manager or CSR manager role in the future.
