Yes, you have the right to shoot fireworks over this Fourth of July holiday. We get it, it's a celebration.
It makes many pets and people uncomfortable (plus, it's a fire danger, and there's plenty of other reasons NOT to shoot them, but I digress). Yes, it's our job as responsible pet owners to keep our pets comfortable and safe.
If you choose to shoot fireworks - please be a Law Abiding Citizen.
You are free to use certain fireworks on your property - NOT on the street/sidewalk in front of your house, not in the park, etc....
Ground-based fireworks are legal - sparklers, ground spinners, fountains, party poppers, glow worms, snakes, smoke cones, etc,
ILLEGAL - anything that explodes or launches into the air, like bottle rockets, roman candles, or firecrackers https://www.facebook.com/reel/2186136821902629
So if people are complaining about fireworks that they can see in their neighborhood, chances are - those are illegal. They have the right to complain about them.
Fireworks are allowed now through July 6, between 8am-11pm; Extended hours on July 4th through 1am.
Be a good citizen. Know the law. Respect your neighbors.
