🌎 BONNIE’S TRAVEL BLOG 🌎

Current Location: Phoenix, AZ
Age: 6-7 months
Occupation: Professional Adventure Buddy

Hello, followers!

My name is Bonnie, and I’m currently searching for a forever family to join me on all my future adventures.

So far, my journey has included surviving being dumped along a freeway with my brother (0/10, would NOT recommend), making lots of new dog friends, learning how to walk nicely on a leash, and mastering the dog door. Not to brag, but I’m pretty good at all of those things.

As an Australian Kelpie/Shepherd mix, I come equipped with curiosity, confidence, and a healthy sense of adventure. I love exploring, checking out new places, meeting new friends, and seeing what exciting thing might happen next. Life is just more fun when there’s something to do!

I’m looking for a family that enjoys including their dog in everyday life. Whether we’re going on a walk, taking a weekend road trip, exploring somewhere new, or just finding a fun way to spend the day together, I’m always ready to tag along.

One thing I’ve learned on my travels is that home isn’t really a place - it’s the people you’re with. After everything I’ve been through, I’m ready to find my own people and start the best chapter yet.

⭐ Travel Highlights:
✔️ Dog-friendly
✔️ Walks nicely on leash
✔️ Dog door trained
✔️ Independent and confident
✔️ Spayed
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Ready for her next adventure

Next Destination: A forever home.

💔 Run free sweet Cookie 💔

This is one of the hardest posts we have had to write.

Cookie was a one-year-old Frenchie we pulled from AHS. She had already gone through colopexy surgery and was thought to be doing better, but she needed a quieter place to recover. She needed time, patience, a special diet, and a lot of supplements to help her pass stool without straining.

Sounds like a lot, right? It was. But if you met Cookie, you would understand immediately… she was worth every single thing.

Cookie had the sweetest soul. Her heart was pure gold, and she brought so much happiness to everyone around her. She was one of those dogs that made you want to keep fighting for her.

Three weeks after her surgery, her prolapse came back. We brought her in and started looking for answers. Even though testing had been done before, we needed to start somewhere and figure out what was happening.

We ran more f***l testing and X-rays. The results showed extremely high levels of Giardia and Coccidia. We held onto hope that treating those would finally give her body the chance it needed to heal.

But after only five days of treatment, her re**um pr*****ed again.

This time, Cookie was hurting. Dogs are incredible at hiding pain, but we knew she wasn’t okay. The X-rays also showed neurological concerns that could have been contributing to what she was going through.

We were still hoping. We wanted more time. We wanted a different outcome. But Cookie’s body told us she was tired, and we had to make the most loving decision we could for her.

We said goodbye to our sweet girl.

A huge thank you to her devoted fosters, Brooke and Sam, who went above and beyond to give Cookie everything she needed. They loved her, cared for her, and made sure she knew she mattered. Thank you to our friends at Little Rascals for being there when we needed support. Thank you to PACC911 for helping with a grant to ease some of the financial burden while we fought for her.

Rescue is full of highs and heartbreaking lows. Some days you win, and some days you lose. But every life matters.

We are so thankful we got the chance to know Cookie. She got to experience love, comfort, fun, and people who never gave up on her.

Cookie’s story is also a reminder that we have to do better. Breeding should be done ethically and responsibly. Many of the struggles Cookie faced were rooted in genetics, and humans have the power to make better choices. Frenchies are loved by so many, but creating dogs for looks without prioritizing health can come with a heartbreaking cost.

Sweet Cookie… we hope you are running free in all the water, feeling no pain, and finally able to just be a dog.

You were loved more than you will ever know. ❤️🐾

This is so true.

This is so true.

When it turns out the toughest boss you ever had is something you built yourself!

We decide the hours & days we want to work & what do we do?
We fill them with dogs. Nothing but grooming!
Because, understandably the owners are the ones who hand over the money.

We leave no time for admin, working on our business, planning our marketing, cleaning, laundry, bookings… it all gets squashed “as & when” around the dogs - outside of the hours we told ourselves we would work.

So the resentment builds, the energy we have left for our families is diminished & the dream of flexibility & a better work / life balance seems more distant than ever..

Feel familiar?

I help groomers to get clear on the hours they want to work, & fit the extra jobs into that time too.
So your time with loved ones is protected!

No more,
“Just one minute” to the kids.
No more texting clients at 8pm seething with frustration.

I teach members how to price themselves accordingly for the number of dogs they can really do in a working week. So swapping grooming for business work, doesn’t cost you money, it buys you time!!

Tell me, what’s the biggest thing you resent doing after hours in your business?

🇺🇸 From rescue dogs… to purpose-driven partners. 🐾

These amazing dogs came through our rescue and are now part of a training program dedicated to supporting veterans who have served our country. These are pictures from today‘s training session. We’re so proud of them and had to share!

Some pups have already been successfully paired with veterans and are thriving in their new roles. Others are just beginning their journey — learning confidence, obedience, public manners, and the foundational skills needed to someday soon, change someone’s life.

Watching these dogs go from uncertain beginnings to meaningful futures is our passion. This is why rescue matters!!! Not every hero walks on two legs. ❤️

Huge shoutout to the outstanding trainers, rescue partners, and veterans helping us give these dogs a chance to show their real potential.

As a completely volunteer-run rescue, participation in programs like this is only possible because of community support. If you’d like to help us continue saving dogs and giving them opportunities like these, please consider making a donation to support our mission.
