Working on gait transitions with Frodi (Icelandic Gelding) in coercion free liberty lunge. There is no whip and he perceives choice in his participation. He stays engaged because of intrinsic and positive motivators. Here Frodi displays the fancy walk, tolt, trot, and collected canter.

This fun and trustworthy 7 yr old is ready to graduate from our reward based training program. Frodi is a smooth tolting Icelandic gelding suited for lightweight riders. He is trained in 4 gaits and has experience on the trail as well as refinement in the arena. Frodi is versed in lateral movements, bows, fetches, and is calm for health care procedures. He gets along easily with other horses. He is a pleasure to trail ride solo or with others. Frodi is polite and suitable for youth and small adults. He is ridden bitless in the videos and he also accepts a bit. Frodi is trained with R+ reward based methods and has never been ridden with a whip. He is 13 hands, narrow in build and has always been barefoot. Both sire and dam were imported from Iceland. Sire and grandam on dam's side are 1st Prize.
