Novick Urban Farm (NUF) was founded in 2012 as a passion project of one of the Novick brothers on the property of the Novick Corporation.

NUF is an educational production farm on 1.3 acres in South Philly, with a dual mission of healthy food access and education, we are dedicated to supporting and preserving food traditions that reflect the multi-cultural landscape of our neighborhood. With a focus on community outreach through our low cost farm market, we are dedicated to supporting and preserving food traditions that reflect the multi-cultural landscape of our neighborhood. The farm’s educational programs provide both children’s groups and people of all ages with hands-on experiences focused on sustainability, biodiversity, and nutrition. Headquartered in Philadelphia’s historic food district with offices in Baltimore, Novick Corporation provides food, essentials, and support services for childcare, education, adult care, healthcare, treatment facilities, and hunger-relief organizations. What began as an outdoor space with six raised bed demonstration boxes for childcare centers to bring children to get hands-on learning about food production is now a full-scale urban farm on 1.5 acres committed to offering *educational programming* and *community-centered farming and accessible food distribution* in the heart of South Philadelphia.

Fruit trees are in the ground!! 🍒🌸

Thank you to the wonderful team of volunteers from for helping us dig these holes! We planted a cherry, plum and three paw paw trees. Fig coming soon!

We had an absolute blast at our garden party last week! It was the perfect way to kick off the fall season (and even a little chilly! 🍂🍂)

Thank you so much to everyone who came out, donated, helped out and made it such a successful day. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

We need your help!! Last year our garden party was a two woman show but this year we’re kicking it up a notch and we’re looking for volunteers!! 🎉🎉

Come spend 2-4 hours with us during our garden party on October 2nd! Run the door, the grill, the raffle or just help out.

Free drinks, snacks and dinner will be provided

Throughout the season we have students create colorful signs for the garden! We are very clear: these do not have to be realistic, if you want to draw a rainbow pepper surrounded by hearts, that’s your artistic right! 🌈🌈

These signs help visitors navigate the garden, assist young writers in spelling the names of vegetables, and allow children to create something that lasts, even if they can’t take it home.

Novick Urban Farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, educational farm program that is dedicated to promoting healthy choices, nutrition, sustainability and community engagement. By providing hands on learning opportunities to local Childcare programs, we are able to educate children at their youngest on healthy eating and nutrition, promoting long term healthy choices. We are also focused on building community relationships, not only through the organic produce we donate, but through the outreach programs we partner in.
