To Our Farm n’ Sea Pets Community 💛
This post is a hard one to write.
Over the past year and a half, Farm n’ Sea Pets has been so much more than a pet store to me. It became a place for conversations, education, connection, questions, wins, worries, and helping pet parents feel more confident about feeding and caring for their animals. Watching so many of you become more curious, empowered, and engaged in your pets’ health has meant everything.
As a small business owner wearing entirely too many hats, I’ve also learned just how challenging retail can be — especially while trying to grow something meaningful and sustainable at the same time.
With that said, we will officially be closing our Northern Liberties storefront in about a week, and temporarily operating out of our Olde Kensington location through the end of June.
Right now, I don’t have all the answers about what comes next. What I do know is this: we are not disappearing. We are actively exploring other options and figuring out what the next chapter of Farm n’ Sea Pets looks like.
This was my very first attempt at opening a retail store, and honestly… it was tough. But it also taught me so much, and I’m incredibly grateful for every single person who walked through those doors, supported our mission, attended a class, asked questions, bought treats, changed their pet’s diet, trusted our guidance, or simply cheered us on.
Maybe one day there will be another storefront again. For now, once both physical locations are wrapped up, online ordering will be the best way to shop with us while we regroup and rebuild thoughtfully.
If you’d like to stay updated on changes, future plans, classes, product drops, and where to find us next, please make sure you’re on our mailing list.
Thank you for supporting a tiny local business with a very big heart. Thank you for believing in what we’re building. And thank you for allowing us to be part of your pets’ lives. 🐾
