🍔🌭🐾 BBQ Season Is Here… But Hold the Hot Dogs, Please! 🐾🌭🍔

Holiday weekends mean sunshine, picnics, and lots of tasty treats—but not everything on your plate is safe for your pup’s belly!

Here’s a quick cheat sheet for what to share (and what to spare) at your 4th of July BBQ:

✅ SAFE FOR DOGGOS (in small amounts):
🥩 Plain cooked meat (no seasoning, bones, or sauces!)
🫐 Blueberries, apples (no seeds), and watermelon (no rind/seeds)
🥕 Baby carrots or cucumber slices
🧀 A little bit of cheese (if they tolerate dairy)

🚫 NO-GO FOR DOGGOS:
🌭 Hot dogs & burgers (too fatty & salty)
🍗 Chicken wings or ribs (cooked bones = choking hazard!)
🌽 Corn on the cob (blockage risk)
🍇 Grapes & raisins (highly toxic!)
🍫 Chocolate, alcohol, onions, garlic, and anything with artificial sweeteners like xylitol = BIG no.

💡Pro Tip: Bring your own dog-friendly treats so your pup doesn’t feel left out. We’ve got some tail-wagging options they’ll actually be allowed to eat including BBQ, meat flavors and lobster-shaped treats 😉 Stock up before you head out to your own feasts!

🎆🐶 BOOM! BANG! BARK?
Fireworks are fun for humans… but for dogs? Not so much. 😬

This 4th of July, keep your pup calm, cool, and not freaking out under the coffee table with these tips:

🛑 Keep 'Em Inside – Even the bravest dogs can bolt when the sky starts booming. Secure doors, windows & gates!

💤 Tire 'Em Out Early – A good walk or zoomie session before the fireworks = a chill, sleepy pup later.

🎧 Drown Out the Noise – Try white noise, calming music, or the soothing sounds of your favorite cooking show.

🆔 Tag, You’re Safe – Make sure your dog’s ID tag and microchip info are up to date, just in case.

🍗 BBQ? Nope. Bakery? Yes! – Human food = hard pass. Bring on the all-natural treats instead. (We know a place…😉)
