It’s National Feed a Shelter Pet Week and Morris Animal Refuge is calling on all animal lovers! 🐾🐶🐱

Every pet in our care deserves a full belly and a happy heart—and you can help make that happen. 🥹❤️

We care for around 100 animals each month, and feeding them costs $2,500 total. Just $25 feeds one shelter pet for a week! 🍽️🐾

Meet Miss Missouri – an 11-year-old fluffy calico queen with the softest fur and the sweetest soul. She’s a professional headbutter, biscuit maker, and full-body stretcher who will melt into your hand the moment you start petting her. 🥰

Miss Missouri is living with hyperthyroidism, a common condition in older cats where the thyroid gland produces too much hormone. The good news? It’s very manageable! She takes a daily pill (easily hidden in a treat), has a special diet, and with consistent care, she can live a happy, comfortable life.

She’s already feeling much better with treatment and is ready to settle into a loving home that will keep her on track with her meds and give her the affection she craves. She'd love a sunny window to nap in and a gentle human to adore.🐈🐾

Ready for some Summer pet lovin' ? 💘 We’re teaming up with PetSmart Charities for National Adoption Week—and bringing the cuteness to South Philly!

Join us at PetSmart (2360 Oregon Ave.) July 21–29 to meet adoptable cats (and some dogs too!) all week long—including two special events:

🐱 Wed 7/24 | 6–8:30PM – Chill vibes & cuddly cats and kittens!
🐶🐱 Sat 7/26 | 12–3PM – Adopt Joy event with cats and dogs!

Our Goal: 15+ adoptions in 1 week, can you help us make it happen!?

Hi, I’m Phoebe 🐾 I’m 11 years old, a little shy, and a big fan of snacks (I definitely know the word “treat”). I may take a minute to warm up, but once I do, I’m all heart. 💛

I wouldn’t mind a calm dog or cat buddy, and I’m really just looking for a quiet home where I can enjoy soft beds, kind humans, and maybe a few extra treats… 😊
