This unused portion of Pop's was a grassy open space under a tree that used to be badly in need of care. Not anymore! Based on a suggestion from Susan Slawson, Commissioner of the Philadelphia Department of Recreation, this space is now a safe place for local dogs and their owners to exercise and play, while organizing upkeep, beautification and cleaning. Visitors need to have current rabies certi
fication and agree to all the rules of Pops Dogs. Security is important at Pops Dogs. Children are #1! By securing the dog space, no undue interactions should occur. The kids have a fascinating new neighbor in the park, and the dogs can run and frolic without worry to owners and parents.
