This tall, handsome guy was bred to be a trotter, but did not race. He is already standing over 15hh – he’s going to be a BIG boy! Julius is handled daily and has a great start on his training. He stands like a champ for bathing, grooming, and the farrier, and he’s learning to lunge, move his hindquarters & forequarters, and work through basic obstacles. 🧠💪

This youngster is a clean slate, ready to go in any direction with the right person. Could Julius be your next sport horse prospect?

Today marks 20 years since our founder, Cynthia Turecki first arrived at Courtesy Stable... all starting with her beloved horse Sonny. 🐴💛

Over two decades, Cynthia has transformed a challenging property, lovingly maintained our nearly 200-year-old barn, and built a vibrant, welcoming space that connects horses, humans, and habitat. Her dedication has brought together neighbors, city partners, and animal lovers to create the unique community we are today.

Thank you, Cynthia, for your incredible heart, hard work, and the legacy you continue to grow at Courtesy Stable. Here's to 20 years of grit, grace, and galloping forward together! 💫

Last Saturday’s Horsemanship & Riding Clinic with Kelsey Parisi of ReeLee Restarting and Training was a total hit! 🐴🧠💪

We had such a fun and educational day learning alongside our horses — building confidence, communication, and stronger partnerships in the saddle and on the ground. Kelsey brought so much insight and positivity, and we’re so grateful to her for sharing her time and knowledge with us!

THE CALL OF THE WILD! PLEASE SHARE. THANK YOU!

A NATIONAL CALL-IN DAY OF ACTION & PROTEST TO SAVE AMERICA’S WILD HORSES AND OUR PUBLIC LANDS

When: Tuesday, July 1, 2025
This is an urgent alert for every organization and individual who cares about the protection, preservation, and survival of America’s Wild Horses and Burros and our precious Public Lands. We must all act together on One Massive National Call-In Day of Protest. We ask each of you to spend just 10 minutes of your time on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to call your two U.S. Senators and your Member of Congress in the House of Representatives.

Here is where to call and what to say:
CALL Your Two U.S. Senators and your House Representative through the Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121 or their offices.

Please ask them to:
1. REJECT Request that the FY2026 Appropriations Bills which are being worked on right now include a ban against the slaughter and killing of wild horses as previous bills have had in the past. There are over 64,000 wild horses and burros in holding facilities, and 10,000 more are scheduled to be rounded up and removed before October 1, 2025.
2. REJECT the Privatization and Sale of America’s precious Public Lands, home to 3,000 species of wildlife, including our Wild Horses and Burros. The vast majority of Americans oppose the selling or closing of Public Lands, according to a 2025 poll.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, let us all unite under One Big Beautiful CALL OF THE WILD Umbrella and speak to Congress together in one loud voice,
“Hands Off Our Wildlife! Hands Off Our Public Lands!”

Handsome boy with only 4 starts~
I’lltaketheblame to us from the barn of Brittany Russell through MD’s Beyond the Wire. A $700K two year old, he did not live up to expectations on the track. His race owners only want top notch runners so we were lucky he cane to us, retiring totally sound. He was a bit thin when he arrived and then lost some weight, so we just gave him time and chow. When we first started him back, he was a bit reluctant to go- his preferred state was hanging out by the gate next to his (seemingly) adoring fans, but Kylea has done a great job letting him know that he does not have movie star red carpet status here.

Blame is a nice mover and needs someone who will continue to show him the way. He is pin fired- simply a blemish, a treatment for sore shins as a two year old- it has no affect on his future soundness.

Friends & Neigh...bors! Today is Water Ice & Pretzels, 5PM to thank all of you for the water you provided to us back in JAN & FEB when our pipes froze. You are all a blessing to us & the horses. We cannot thank you enough. As you know we are also still raising funds to correct some problems with water at the barn & will be pulling the winners to our raffle prizes... Please take a chance & help support our efforts.... There are some amazing, yummy and fun prizes being offered. There will be fun & games for you to enjoy & music. The Belmont is running tonight, the last of the triple crown & we have a special hand crocheted "the winningest horse" Courtesy's own triple crown entry. Please join us, at least in spirit if not in person, or make a donation and/or buy some raffle tickets. There is indoor cover in the loft... bring a chair if you'd like...
