Behind the Scenes of Breeding ❤️
People see the cute kitten photos and often have strong opinions about breeders, some positive, some not. What many don’t see are moments like this.
I’ve been present for almost every birth in my cattery. Through long nights, difficult deliveries, and the quiet hours in between, I’m there with my queens. I’m often assisting, monitoring, and making sure both mom and babies are safe.
I’ve slept on bathroom floors, basement floors, and tonight… a closet floor. 😆 Because Luna decided a small closet was the perfect place to have her babies, so that’s where I am too.
This photo isn’t glamorous. It’s not a show win, a fancy photo shoot, or a ribbon. It’s a tired breeder curled up on the floor beside a queen and her newborn kittens. But it represents something important: love, dedication, and commitment.
These cats aren’t a business to me, they’re my family. Their well-being comes before my comfort every single time.
So when people ask what responsible breeding looks like, sometimes it looks exactly like this: sleeping on a closet floor so a mama cat feels safe and supported while caring for her babies. ❤️🐾
