I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend. Once again, my house looks like a bomb hit it because I am in between holidays, lol.
Taking down all the St. Patrick's Day decorations and getting ready for Easter decorations and getting my gardens all .
This is what gives me joy
Of course, my real joy comes from finding all of these animals their wonderful nee homes. We had another fantastic week and another amazing amount of adoptions going to some very happy people and into loving homes. We are so fortunate that we have such a big following and we get so many
recommendations from so many places for people to come and see our birds.
This is our hope for every animal that's in any rescue situation is for them to eventually find a wonderful loving home of their own. We are always willing and able to make room for any animal in need and we always extend ourselves to any other rescues, wildlife centers or individual situations where there may be birds or critters in need of finding homes.
We are ALWAYS here to help......

A total of 20 birds started their new journey this week with their new person or people. Unfortunately, nobody bunnies or other small animals were adopted. We are sure needing homes for them and hope we can get some of them into their new homes soon.

Congratulations to all and we wish nothing but the best for a happy long life in your new homes. We always miss them when they're gone, but happy that they found their own people.
And of course, for each one Adopted it makes room for another one needing to come in.

Check out this adorable & very young female Goffin Cockatoo.
She was brought into the rescue back in January and was adopted shortly after to one of our volunteers who had previously adopted two Cockatiels from us several years ago.
He always wanted a Cockatoo and Gigi seemed to be the perfect fit for him. She absolutely loves everybody, loves attention, will sit on your shoulder all day long, but of course, like any Cockatoo she can't be noisy and loud. That was not the problem at all as he loved her very much and she was very happy there.
Unfortunately, he unexpectedly became very ill and thought it best for her to come back to the rescue as he could no longer spend the time with her that she needs, and he has been in and out of the hospital recently. Not knowing what his future holds he did not want to have this bird who is so used to a certain lifestyle have to then not get what she needed from him. So very selflessly he brought her back in the hopes that she will find a wonderful home where she will get all the attention that she so craves and desserts.
Welcome back Gigi!
I'm sure the volunteers are going to have a lot of fun with you on Saturday
