Yes I am proud! Hurricane and Tornado’s brother Valcano won best in show at Lisa De Gennaro’s Sled dog showcase Canada! Joker and Sako The Canine Athlete: Fourwinds Duck Dogs had a handsome batch!

We are very proud of our dogs this past season!

Some high achieving moments were Amelia clenching 1st place gold ISDRA medal for 2 dog RNB bike! 🎉 And 2nd place silver in 6 dog RNB rig. This is for the overall season starting in fall ending in April. And Anne placing 2nd place in the World Championships in 4 dog RNB rig. 🎉Unfortunately after a successful race at UP200 dash Anne realized she didn’t sign up for ISDRA and made an early decision not to race spring.

Some other fun moments, for Ben at World Championships got on the podium JR canacross and Murray tried the Copper Dog 4 dog sled JR class, and a few other people that gave racing a go behind our beautiful Siberian huskies. Thanks Krysten, Luke, Heidi and Connor! Even I got in one race! Thanks to Holly from Australia who ran Shenanigan in RNB 1 dog bike at World Championships, just missed the podium and Eric from New Zealand with 6 of Amelia’s RNB dogs in 6 dog rig. Fun sleep overs with all dogs going to a race. Very fun touring season even though Mother Nature always keeps us on our toes. Grooming, grooming, grooming the trails! And closed with a wonderful school demonstration.

This summer will be filled with free play & pool parties, bike training, and much more! It will be fall before you know it!

We are so grateful for all who help keep our dogs so happy at Top Of The Hill Huskies!!

One last important experience to note is loss and sadness. Having a large kennel is sadly full of grief! We lost so many sweet HEARTS over the past season! Both of Bob’s siblings Royal and Sugar (living with Anne) and a massive hole in our family, the loss of my best friend Laika! It doesn’t get any easier it just makes you more numb.💔

Happy National Purebred Dog Day!
Amelia and I fell in love with the Siberian Husky! We absolutely love their wild spirit! Their sweet kind hearts and of course their love for their job! Our imaginations dove into the neat history and we were hooked! They are truly the most beautiful dogs in our opinion!
Listed by age oldest to youngest.
I also have pictured Siren who is here for a visit but lives with Anne, Yeti who is Ellyn’s dog, Mondo and Suni Krysten’s dogs and I couldn’t leave out our 2 rescue mutts Snow and Salem (not listed age appropriate) who wish their purebred friends a happy day!

We’ve had some “things” happening lately!
1st. Our sweet Salem hasn’t been feeling well or eating. But after a few vet visits and exploration of his intestines he is finally feeling a bit better. Oh Salem, what did you eat that you shouldn’t have?
2nd. Siren has been transferred to heaven, I mean Anne’s home. ☺️ He isn’t retired but does get cold so we decided to let him live with the Small’s pack.
3rd. Happy 6th birthday to our April Fools litter!! The best litter we’ve had!💗💗🎉🎉 These dogs have been such incredible dogs! Happy Birthday Hilaria, Robbie (Prank), Wile E (Riot), Joker, and Shenanigan AND the rest of the litter mates!!
AND I forgot Wind’s 2 birthday!!! Happy Birthday sweetheart!!!

Amelia and I got our very first husky rescue from Human Society Of Vilas County. Her name was Akeelah. Like Fly, she had been there quite a while. But she filled us with so much love and taught us how to take care of huskies. She clearly went straight into our hearts!
